Had a phenomenal time there. Roman allowed me to look at a variety of vehicles and I ended up getting something far newer than I originally thought I'd get. No, didn't get hustled by getting it, it ended up costing less than what I originally came in to buy. Great prices, great people. Definitely would recommend at them least giving them a look to anyone

I had a good experience at Hampstead Pre-Owned. We purchased a used 2022 Honda Pilot that was in excellent condition. Desmond was wonderful to work with. He answered all of our questions, was patient with us and was very transparent. The only issue I had with the negotiations was not being told upfront that there is a $499 freight fee and a $1,800 certification fee added to the listed price of the vehicle.

Be prepared to spend your entire day there. This is the second car I’ve bought from them and probably the last. After my last experience left such a bad taste in my mouth. They could have had a customer for life. But after butting heads with one of the managers over bringing down the asking price another $300, which for us meant the difference between a life changing decision and opportunity for our daughter who would be able to continue working and commute to and from college, as opposed to the $300 for the company who quite frankly spends more than that on pizza. Which, by the way, I think it’s a wonderful thing they feed everyone. I’m just putting it in perspective what that $300 meant to us. I even said I’d meet him in the middle, if he could just bring it down $150 more. He wouldn’t budge and I was offended he was about to take away that opportunity for my daughter to be quite honest and I suppose it became personal for me. But honestly, where are the good guys?

Was told on the phone the estimate for the car we wanted would be around $17,000-$18,000 after taxes and fees so we took the trip to get there. Turned out to be over $21,000 after taxes and fees. That’s the first lie. Then the associate said he could only take off $100. That’s the second lie because they ended up getting it down to $20,000. Then they ended up getting it down to $19,000 but without any warranty at all. Basically saying that if we drive off the lot and the car breaks down instantly it’s on us. Not even a 30 day warranty or anything. I have never seen a dealer give 0 warranty like that. Overall the staff is nice but they use a lot of sketchy dealer tactics like hidden fees or lying about the pricing they could do. They lure you in by telling you one price but then give you a totally different price in person. I don’t want to put his name here but If the person was just honest on the phone in the first place all of this waste of time could have been avoided.

Hampstead Pre-owner allowed me to put down a deposit so that I could reserve my car for a few days. My mechanic went there to check the car, and he said he never saw a used car dealer that took care of their cars as well as Hampstead. He said they replaced things that didn’t absolutely need to be replaced, so that they could give me the car in top condition. The price was great.

They deserve no stars. Their pricing is non transparent from the phone conversations to in showroom conversations. Their staff is pretty cold and adamant with things that are not normal. They kept insisting to make a copy of my insurance before allowing a test drive. Their pricing has a ton of fees that make no sense, like Freight on a used car plus some silly Hampstead Preowned which is sold as mandatory.

For being my first time in a dealership it’s was one of the best experiences ever I never seen so many sales men/ and women be so Engaged in such work. I mean I came in there and I can see everybody multitasking, being on the phone with a customers trying to make deals at the same time sealing deals in person in such fast paste incredible team and awesome Atmosphere. I only went there to check cars that caught my eye and ended up leaving with a 2023 Nissan Altima SV 2.5 I mean when I say the deals are amazing they are one of the best I’ve seen. Not only that but the customer service top tier they would do anything to get you one of the best deals don’t matter if your buying the car cash or financing hands down one the best dealer ships out here

Had multiple representatives respond to my inquiry pretty quickly, however, it was like pulling teeth to get the Out the Door price. When I did get it, it was much higher than anticipated with some bogus fees. Who charges "freight/destination" on a used car? They would not negotiate a lower price. A couple days afterwards, I got an email saying there was a price change, however they did not tell me what the new out the door price would be. Further investigation showed all their cars were rated "great deals", which was a red flag, too. I then read their Yelp reviews and then it was clear to stay away. When I emailed them explaining why I would not be making the nearly 2 hour trip to their dealership, I suggested that they respond to their angry customers who shared their experiences on Yelp. I didn't get a response. Things that make you go hmmm....

Drove out an hour to go see this vehicle based on the factors included in the listing and when I started the test drive it turned out the listing was inaccurate and it did not actually have some of the safety features listed. They were real helpful and really went out their way to make sure I had a good experience. I talked to gentleman in charge of customer service. He spoke to me one on one and asked me about my experience and I walked away or drove away with the car that I came up there to get and I had a issue with that same car and they sent somebody to my house to fix it.

*NOTE: I didn’t end up buying this specific Mazda, I ended up buying a 2018 Grand Touring Mazda 3 that was in perfect shape.
Hampstead Preowned right off the bat was honest with any issues with the vehicle. The only issue with the vehicle was moisture damage on radio screen. They immediately told me not to worry about as they are going to replace it for free which they did! Unfortunately, upon replacing the radio screen i lost some features such as CarPlay due to a firmware issue so it's entirely not their fault. They were nice enough to offer reimbursement to get this issue solved since it's going to have to be fixed by a Mazda dealer. Excellent customer service! They were not pushy at all either. I got to drive the car for about 20-30 minutes on our own which is always nice because salesman can be intimidating while trying to test out the vehicle. Overall, I would highly recommend this dealer to anyone in the market for a reliable fair priced preowned vehicle.

If you need a car they probabaly have it and at a reasonable price. Many of the cars they sell have had some bodywork and if you ask, they will show you pictures of the work if they have repaired it. Worth a look if they have a car you want.

Let me start by saying this dealership was extremely professional and inviting. The process took a little while but it was a smooth process and they approved me for a rate lower than what I was initially expecting. My only minor grievances we're that extra fees were added on to the vehicle for repairs that the dealership would cover to the car as well as registration with the MVA but it wasn't anything egregious. All in all I recommend going here to purchase a car it would be a good experience.

I was amazed and surprised when the dealership staff first responded to my inquiry via text at night. They were incredibly quick to set my husband and I up with an appointment to view and test drive the van. At the dealership Sam was very easy to work with, knowledgeable about our options, and patient while we looked at a few other cars before making a decision. The staff was also super kind and understanding with my kids and had snacks and little toys for them to play with as we waited for our car. Overall, we had a great experience at Hampstead Pre Owned and highly recommend for others looking for a used car.

From the beginning Tara was very nice and wanted to make sure that I was completely satisfied with this car before buying. She let me test drive it by myself so I could get the real feel for it. Courteous and Helpful. Prepared when I arrived to test drive several vehicles... Price very competitive and they explained all of the
details of what I was signing. This is my 4th vehicle purchased there over many years... Although buying a used car has built in stress
and anxiety, they do a pretty good job of assuaging concerns... Reasonable warrantees available as well...
Negatives are ~$1800 in "dealer charges" - freight, cost of car maintenance and prep, etc. - which they clearly explain when you sit down
with them... However, this seems typical in the industry... I was also given ~$500 back due to being a repeat customer (quite nice)

My experience was phenomenal!! My sales representative was Raquel and she was amazing. She was already when I arrived to the dealership. She gave me a very welcoming greeting and got me right in the vehicle I came to see. Upon my return she sat down with me and based of our previous conversation began walking me through all the options I had available to me based on my wants and needs. My experience with the team at Hampstead Pre-Owned was top notch. They try to arrange all of their customer engagements through appointment, but they were able to take me right in first thing on Saturday morning without an appointment. A specific note about Alan, the salesman: top notch professional. Never came across as pushy or like the stereotypical “used car salesman,” but instead was incredibly cordial, helpful and kept things moving despite how busy he was.
We will consider them when looking for our next vehicle replacement.

Cordial and accomodating!
Dealer is not willing to negotiate on price. They claim on website that
certified pre-owned fee of $1200 is optional, but it is applied on all
vehicles. The staff was very friendly & always replied back on text
messages or calls. Vehicles are in really great condition if you are
willing to pay for extra fees.

Great experience, great customer service! They took care of us, made sure we were comfortable with everything. Also, really enjoyed seeing how they take of their staff.
Initially contacted dealership through cargurus on a Friday evening. My inquiry included one specific question regarding the vehicle. I received several (what appeared to be automated emails), non of which addressed my inquiry. I proceeded to follow up with two additional emails and a call to the dealership - no response to my question.
Apparently this type of neglect and dismissal of inquiries is how they see themselves apart form other dealerships. Terrible customer service!

Raquel was very friendly to work with. The car we were interested in was being painted so she brought up a similar one which we ended up going with. The body work was generally well done, but the detailing got a little rushed at the end. Happy with the car and the price and would consider Hampstead again when we are looking for our next used car.

This car is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME. Just bought this car in May 2023 and just love how the description pretty much matched everything with the listing. Anything that didn’t match, the dealership fixed before selling the car. Specific shout out to my man Mac! He was a salesman that was on time, on point and followed through with everything I asked and needed. Mac even gave us a tour of the dealership and showed how high standard they are when dealing with the cars they sell. Definitely this dealership keeps their word and says what they do. Called about a 2016 Camry XLE. Was told there was the normal 499 state fee then the women Danni told me there was 2 other BS fees
on top of that normal one most respectful car dealerships charge. Went and looked at reviews of this dealership and saw other people
complaining about this also. Saw the owner who seems like a standup guy responding to the bad reviews saying we do not charge any
other fee besides the 499-state fee and all other fees are optional. He said to personally contact him if anyone tries to charge more fees
besides the standard fee. I called back and explained what i saw in the comments on Car guru. She seemed caught off guard and
fumbled over her words. Said I will be contacting the owner, Anthony. This is the slime ball sales tactics people don't want to have
anything to deal with. This is not integrity!!!
Advertised price did not include 899 HPO certification, 299 Freight, 499 Doc Fee, plus more. I was told these fees are NOT optional. Do not listen to the dealership's
response to other bad reviews. Do not even waste your time. For example, I was told the HPO certification is not a warranty or product care, but was in fact a 'process the
car had been through that cannot be undone.' This is a predatory business practice to advertise low prices and slap on hidden fees. Especially in Maryland of all
places where this is frowned upon.

The salesman was kind, patient and thorough in the process. He also responded well to my requests.
In fact, I made another visit to the dealership last weekend to cancel the warranty contract. The
process was simple without any hassle. The staffs are kind overall, and I believe that it will be
generally pleasant car buying experience for all.
I purchased my 2017 Subaru Impreza Sport from Hampstead pre-owned. They were very warm and helpful. I met the sales person Wes who helped my
husband a week or so prior as well as Mike. They were really nice. My father, who came with me, was also very impressed in their professionalism. My

I visited Hampstead pre-owned by myself to check out some cars for my wife. I was greeted by Wes who ended up becoming the sales person to help
me out. He was very welcoming and I instantly felt comfortable. He didnât pressure me or anything but instead instilled confidence in me that each and
every vehicle they sell are at the highest standard of quality possible. I was even given a tour of their reconditioning processes, which made me even
more determined that whatever car my wife and I would purchase is in the best possible condition in can be before we drive it off the lot. If there were
any problems or noises that did occur during test drive, they would take care of it right away. I was able to test drive 4 cars in half an hour. Wes had the
next car ready for me whenever I finished test driving one.
I ended up placing a deposit on a 2017 Crosstrek. A week later my wife instead picked up the 2017 Subaru Impreza Sport lol.

RACIST!!! Worst experience ever, Iâm walking out in tears. I drove an hour away for a car
and in the middle of my sale, they sell the car to another couple who came in after me and
did not have a deposit down on the car. Itâs extremely disheartening because I excited to
get this car and had a cash offer. I am a black women and they choose to sell the car I was
purchasing to a white couple instead. Disgusting and deplorable customer service. The
couple came in after me and was somehow able to buy the car I was in the process of
getting ( signing paperwork) . The manager Matt was very nasty and did not even care that
this had happened, he tried to gaslight me by stating it was just poor communication. He
made up excuses on why they sold the car to the couple instead. Instead of telling the
truth which was that they prioritize the sell of the white couple over a black women. This
place is discriminates against black women. DO NOT GET A CAR HERE !!!

Went to dealership and was given a price of 19997.00 on a 2016 civic. After test drive and waiting on
salesman talking to manager, the final price was 24,957.34 They add HPO certification FEE, freight
FEE, AutoProvit PCP FEE, Tire and Wheel FEE, registration car FEE, Registration truck FEE, Title
FEE, Lien FEE, (I was paying cash) License FEE, Doc FEE Then taxes. The price online is the price
WITHOUT FEES. Difference in internet price and out the door price was 4960.34. BEWARE!!!

AVOID! - HIDDEN MARKUPS! Hampstead Preowned adds a Dealer Processing fee($500.00) Freight fees($299.00) and a so called HPO certification fee($499.00) and a
$499.00 rebate fee.WHAT! ( I checked with the DMV, Maryland Used Car dealers can ONLY add a "Dealer Processing Fee" up to $500.00.) Hampstead preowned would not
accept a Federal Credit Union Check, instead tried to convince me to provide my personal information so they could arrange the loan! I wonder why? Perhaps they are
afraid a 3rd party will discover the phony markups? Something fishy here- They act so nice and sincere and then deceive shoppers. They asked me to provide a 5 star
review- OMG, I didn't even buy anything!!! The back lots of the dealership look like a chop shop, Loads of DIRTY, DAMAGED cars, like HORRIBLE. They obviously buy

Good communication. We went and test drove the car that we were initially interested in. Not totally impressed.
That wasn't a problem. They have a large inventory. We looked at other options and found the right car for us.
There was no pressure to buy. There are no hidden fees. Everything is fully diclosed. I took the car back a few
weeks after the purchase so they could check out some concerns that I had. They resolved everything to my
satisfaction without any hassles. I would recommend this dealer.

I literally stumbled upon Hampstead Pre-Owned in Hampstead, MD online, while looking for a
Honda Pilot. Jennifer, Angela and Brooke were fabulous in walking this first-time car buyer,
through a myriad of car questions and the credit approval process. The next step was to
schedule a test drive, but I had no transportation! Hampstead sent Juan, who was wonderful, to
pick us up at our home in Pa (a 1 ½ hour drive)!! When we arrived at Hampstead, we met

I bought my Charger R/T from here and my experience was wonderful. I first sent an email asking
about the car and my dealer Lamonte called me back immediately setting up a test drive. When I
got there the atmosphere was so happy and family like. I felt comfortable, he answered all my
questions and worked with me. this was my first time buying a car and they made it easy. Ever
since I got the car he's been in contact with me checking to make sure everything is going
smoothly with the car. I had an issue with the windows and they set up an appointment to fix it
right away. I would definitely recommend buying a car from them.

Walking into Hampstead Preowned I was soooo nervous! I was turned away from 3 dealerships so I started to loose hope. When I sat down CJ made me so comfortable from the start. He was very nice and explained everything with details to my understanding. He made sure I was aware of everything that would be included in my deal meaning no hidden agendas. Ginger was also so very helpful with showing me how to navigate threw the website. Once the deal was completed I met with the finance manager David. David was so nice and helpful. Also very funny. I am/was quite pleasantly surprised that Hampstead Pre Owned approach and atmosphere was a "No Pressure Sales" , which of course was especially welcome ,and I was made to also feel very welcome. The staff was patient, focused on my needs and questions and concerns . Sales Rep. Wyatt was particularly attentive and professional over all. The finance department was also a pleasure since everything was facilitated in a lucid and as such comprehensive way, and was also affable, and has a good sense of business/finance savvy coupled with friendly exchange regarding shared musical tastes.

As it was on our last purchase from HPO in 2019, we were treated like “royalty.” There was never any pressure to buy or even look at something we weren’t really interested in. We ended up purchasing the first car we looked at, but wanted to check out other options elsewhere. There was no pressure to reconsider before we left as at another dealer who wouldn’t stop badgering after what we looked at didn’t meet our needs. We definitely feel like family here and know we will receive the best possible vehicle after the reconditioning process. We are so very pleased again with our experience and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a quality and well priced used vehicle.

price. They charge $899 as dealer processing fee
and $1500 to $3000 as recondition fee. They

Also tried to hide the fact car was involved in an accident while failing to put that information on their website/Car Gurus. This was our second purchase from Hampstead in two years, both Honda CR-Vs. We returned last
month to buy a replacement vehicle for my daughter, who lives in Georgia, because we were
pleased with the efficiency of the sales process and care we received the first time. Those things
were true this year as well. And the car is great. But a few days after the sale, we were driving it
south when the SRS (airbag) light came on. We took the car to the local Honda dealership, which
diagnosed the issue as a bad cable reel. The repair cost over $600 in all. We talked with the folks at
Hampstead, who understood that our daughter’s safety was paramount, and they ended up agreeing
to cover the cost of the repair. In my experience, buying a used car at Hampstead is as easy and
straightforward a process as you’re likely to find, and the staff will stand behind the product and
make things right if there’s a problem.

I sent a message to Hampstead Preowned Auto Sales for my vehicle and they
contacted me within minutes. I went to the dealership and we walked out to the
vehicle. He explained to me that it was new to the lot and would need an inspection
to pass an inspection so that when I brought it home it would pass my state’s
inspection. I asked him if that meant that the vehicles they listed as ready to sell
weren’t actually ready to sell. He replied that their mechanics look at them.
I took the vehicle for a test drive and in less than two miles, I was already working on
returning the vehicle when I lost power and had to pull over in front of someone’s
house, the car unable to move under its own power. They sent two mechanics out
and I explained what the issues were. They agreed and all three of us headed back. I
learned that the owner knew the vehicle had a transmission issue and forgot to tell
anyone.
These people have great reviews, but clearly there’s still work to do.

The sales rep, Matthew, was friendly and really went out of his was to try to earn my business. Had to ask several times to get dealer to let me take car to my mechanic for a pre-purchase inspection however. Car turned out to have issues not mentioned by dealer, Carfax or seen on test drive and only found by putting car up on a lift. “Caveat emptor” is appropriate at this dealership.
I was contacted almost immediately after requesting information. They continued to respond quickly and thoroughly to all my questions. Their
customer service is exemplary.

Contacted this dealer by phone twice and through cargurus email once. Tried to get a few more photos of the vehicle to no avail. Told them I would be paying cash and that was when they deemed me to be not the type of customer they are looking for. Believe they are only looking for customers who will finance through them. Either this or the vehicle they listed is a farce. They seem to have great vehicles with low miles and great prices but must not want to sell them!

The dealership met all of my purchasing needs amd went above and beyond to meet my needs. The purchase process was extremely easy, registration was completed, and title was order immediately. I received a follow up call from a representative regarding my purchase and satisfaction. The service was great. I would definitely purchase another vehicle from Hampstead Preowned and have recommended them to others in the market for a vehicle.

I went to see the car the next day and put a deposit on the car pending some minor cosmetic work. The sales staff were very friendly and efficient. I was in and out within 2 hours including a test drive and promissory note completion. I have received 2 follow up emails and 1 call since that time and should have my car by next weekend. It has been a pleasure so far working with Hampstead Pre-Owned.

I have purchased a car here before and my daughter is still driving it. I only hope this one is as reliable. The owner has been honest with me and the stand behind their inventory .
We had such a great experience at Hampstead Pre-owned. I'm not
normally one to write reviews, but I felt like I had to! I contacted
Hampstead Pre-owned about a Prius (after ours was lost in a flood) we
were hoping to look at, and the woman I spoke with went out and checked
the cars for features I was looking for. After we made an appointment, we
arrived and Casey met us and showed us the cars, but also gave us our
space to look at them and decide what to do. Adam helped us through the
buying process, gave us a good deal on the price, and kept us updated as
the car went through their body shop. Even though we live a bit far from
Hampstead Pre-owned, my husband has already said he wants to buy our
next car there. Thanks to Adam and Casey for making buying a car a lot
less stressful!
When I first seen this car on CarGurus the price was $8,795 I was interested because everywhere I was looking the prices were out my budget. The day I purchased the car I had received an email saying the price had dropped down to $7,997. I immediately called to inquire about the car and the gentleman told me he'd give me a call right back to let me know if the car was still on the lot. Within 15-20 minutes I received a call back saying the car was still available. I went to look at the car and test drive it the same day when and everything was perfect!! Everyone at Hampstead Preowned was very helpful and made my first car buying experience fast and easy. The customer service at Hampstead Preowned was awesome. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone who's looking to purchase a car.

Sales people were courteous and not pushy at all - they let us look over the lot and then we test drove 2 different vehicles - I would highly recommend this dealership - we will come back again for our next vehicle

Prompt response to my e-mail. Very friendly and helpful staff when we arrived to look at/test drive the car. It had recently arrived at the dealership and still needed some cosmetic work/MD inspection but seemed otherwise in good shape. We did not have the flexibility to wait several days for the work to be completed and ended up finding a vehicle that was immediately available at another dealer.

Went to dealer after seeing their inventory online with carfaxs and reading reviews. Loved the prices on the vehicle and the no pressure sales. Will be using this dealer again.
I knew what I wanted but the vehicle I liked had a couple minor things that
needed to be fixed. They not only fixed all the cosmetic things I wanted but
they went above and beyond what I asked for. They also gave me a very fair
price for my trade in. Best car buying experience I've had.
I loved my experience at Hampstead Pre-owned Auto Sales. Even before I
visited the showroom, I was contacted by the Sales Manager. I cancelled
my first appointment by voicemail, and he called back to thank me for
being considerate enough to cancel without being a 'no show'. I was
helped by every individual I met at this dealership.Everyone was friendly,
offered their knowledgeable opinions, but none were pushy, sales-driven
employees. I was also impressed by the activity going on in their service
area. They have at least 4-5 service bays prepping cars for the sales lot. I
was told they purchase many of their cars at auction and sell
approximately 40 cars a week. I drove 5 vehicles at this dealership on a
rainy day, selected a car, was given a promise of a thirty day warranty, and
purchased my new/old car here.I was never pressured to buy. I also was
contacted after the sale with a Thank You. Hampstead Pre-owned cars
are 2 1/2 hours away from my home, and I will recommend this dealership
to my friends for their used car purchases, and I will return again.

Dealer is very honest and will help you out. I bought a car a couple months ago and came with a free bumper to bumper waranty. I had a small issue and they fixed it will definately be comeing back in the future and reccomend to others.

I had a wonderful experience with Hampstead Pre-Owned dealership. Even though I didn't purchase a vehicle, the salesman Sam and Owner- Anthony are very nice and professional. I would recommend Hampstead.
Our family had an excellent car buying experience with Hampstead Pre-owned. They are all about putting the customer first. The staff is genuinely friendly and accommodating, without the typical sales pressure you find at most places. Hampstead Pre-owned worked within our budget, and through their great inventory, we were able to find the perfect quality car for our family. I would highly recommend them to friends and family.
Hampstead Preowned is great. They are honest people who stand behind the

paperwork. How many dealerships do you know of that would put a new
radio/cd player in a used vehicle because the radio that was in it didn't work?

Hampstead Preowned provided superb service. We chose a Honda instead but the staff was accommodating friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this dealership, especially for 1st time car owners.

Do not have anything negative to say about this dealership. Never experienced such overall straightforward, no-nonsense, reasonable atmosphere - no sleazy tactics or games, which is rare. When we test drove a car for my son, noticed the brakes were worn, and the pads were replaced without any prompting. One key/fob was bad, and although we initially had a communication mixup among staff between the first visit and arriving to purchase, they promised to replace with a new key.
I imagine it's very difficult dealing in used vehicles while trying to satisfy every customer in an honest way, but I think this place does it as well as anyone can. So far (2 weeks later) I have not discovered anything wrong or bad.
I would confidently go back there or recommend them to someone else.
