I made an appointment to see a low cost vehicle. They had my number and email. They could have contacted me when it sold, but they did not. So when I showed up for my "appointment" it took them 10 minutes to find out the vehicle had sold "earlier in the day". Mind you I called at 11am to for a 5 pm appointment. allegedly the vehicle was available at 11 and had sold before I got there. They made no effort to tell me it was sold. I highly doubt it was even there because the same vehicle was still online for 3 more days. I feel they put it on at a low price to get people in the door and try to sell them a higher priced vehicle. (the next similar vehicle was 6 grand more than the one I wanted to see). And now they won't stop calling and texting me.

I drove from Galveston to Austin to buy this car since it was exactly what we wanted. However, the pressure to buy an extended warranty was relentless. The finance manager, and his manager continued to press me on all the reasons I didn't want to buy. There overly friendliness changed when I finally said: Look, I drove for 4 hours to buy this car, I do NOT want the warranty, just finish the paperwork and let me get back on the road.

If I could give zero stars I would. Review for Covert Ford Ranger Date of Appointment: 01/02/2025 Sales Consultant: Gulsah Caylak I scheduled an appointment to see a specific vehicle on 01/02/2025 at 12:00 PM, which required me to drive three hours to your location. I made it a point to confirm the details and received assurances that the vehicle would be ready upon my arrival. Unfortunately, when I arrived at the dealership, the vehicle was not prepared or even readily available to view due to the fact it sold minutes from arriving, despite the confirmation email I received and my clear efforts to ensure everything was in order beforehand. This lack of preparedness reflects poorly on your commitment to respecting customers’ time and planning. Making a three-hour drive only to experience this kind of oversight is frustrating and unprofessional. It left me with the impression that customer service and proper communication are not priorities for your business.

They begged me to trade my truck in and had to tell them like 4 times that I didn’t want to. They Kept asking for a down payment but couldn’t give me real bank statements instead they just kept figuring random numbers that they came up with and wanted me to agree to whatever they said. They stopped replying to me after they found out I wasn’t going to let them scam me

If you're looking for a previously owned vehicle, contact Joseph Dias at Covert Ford, Austin TX. He received and worked with my me and my daughter who had her car stolen. We found the same year and model as the stolen car with 20,000 less miles on it for substantially the same price as our insurance settlement on the stolen car. Joseph listened to and was very accomodating to our needs and worked with his manager to get the price down to what we could live with. He did try to oversell us nor pressure us in anyway while, at the same time, worked hard to make us pleased with the car buying experience.

They handled the process fairly well. Shipped my car across country and at the end of the day I have the car I wanted. I was left in the dark a few times in the process with no reply or a lot of stalling which was very frustrating. All in all a 6/10 experience. All 6 coming from the amazing vehicle. Not them

There was mass confusion about the price and it took two days just to get wire transfer instructions, I got the purchase order sent to me to sign after four days (2 days after wiring $50,000 to pay for the vehicle in full). Communication was horrendous. I would not deal with this dealer again if there was a competitive alternative. All that said, they had a great vehicle at a great price. I had it delivered which was nice as I didn't have to drive 2.5 hours each way and spend the entire day in a car dealership. This should have been an extremely simple transaction but it ended up taking a lot of effort and seven full days before my car arrived.

Terrible. I bought a 2020 Tahoe from them. They try to add on a bunch of additional charges. When I said I wasn’t paying for all those add on expenses, they agreed to remove them but then added them back on. Delivered car 1 1/2 days late in the dark and only gave me one key fob. Also didn’t fix things that they were going to fix prior to delivering it. I stopped payment on my check, cancelled the whole deal and returned their Tahoe the next day. Drove the car I traded in back home.

Very Profession Dealer Ship! Each of the person who I was contacted to was very Professional, getting the information to registered this car in Massachusetts was no problem. . This Dealer Ship is a very good place to purchase a car. I asked for a few items that were not included in the sale and my sales person got them and put them in the Trunk of the 2006 GTO. He did not need to do this, but he did. I really appreciate his help!!! A side note my sales person use to live in Buffalo, NY and is a Great Bills Fan, got smart and now living in TX all year long no more 84" snow storms, in Buffalo!!! :-)

The process wasn't too bad but i feel like it coulda been better, I was told they were overpaying for trade ins but that didn't seem to be the case.. and Negotiation if the car i was trying to buy just seem impossible.. but specifically one manager told me that an add on i didnt want was going to be removed, went to financing and it wasn't i was just a little confused on how that happene.. Only one person seemed to understand how navy feds pre approval loans worked, other was telling me that i was wrong when i was trying to explain it

I contacted them about a Ford super duty that had been listed for over 100 days. They responded with we don’t have any in stock but can order one that will arrive in 6-8 weeks. I called back to inquire further and never got a response back. Why would you keep a listing for a vehicle you no longer have? To manipulate people into contacting you and then being dishonest about ordering (new Ford super duty orders are taking months).

Anthony went above and beyond to make my experience great while searching for a Range Rover. He and his manager were honest, kind, and willing to do what it took to make me truly be sure about the car I was looking at. While I was actually searching for a Supercharged and the one they had was an HSE, if I was searching for an HSE I would have bought from Anthony. He answered all my questions, addressed my concerns and offered to have them all fixed, and his follow through was outstanding. The next time I'm in the market I will certainly check with Anthony on his inventory!

The experience was pleasant. Manny was very personable, listened to what I wanted and expected, and did not try to up sale me. The finance department was great. The only glitch was on my end. During the process a family situation arose that put me against a time wall. Even with me being anxious they understood and moved the process as quickly as possible. I can not speak as to how he vehicle will be under use, however. Only time tells when it comes to autos.

I went to see this Truck after talking to the salesman several times I get there they raise the price by 3000 the whole time tell me it's a great truck but they are putting so much money to fix it which is why they are raising the price on top of it all I couldn't even test drive the truck cause it was blocked in they new for a day I was coming in should have had truck ready and maybe mentioned the price jack up

I contacted dealership to schedule a time to see vehicle, once I arrived the customer service experience was terrible. The sales person said he had to locate keys and after waiting for 30 minutes without any word from the salesperson we left. Other salesman were just standing around but none were helpful. Terrible experience would not recommend. I never received an apology from salesman even though he had my contact information.

Expressed much interest in vehicle. It was a sponsored search out my area so I wanted to meet at spot between cities (3 hr drive). I have bought multiple vehicles meeting and signing for like that. Typical dreaded car salesman experience here! Played games with the pricing, then with availability. Had a vehicle listed as new with 0 miles then found out it had over 5,000 miles but nowhere was it noted as being a demo or courtesy vehicle like many other dealerships had. Just a lot of nonsense & back-n-forth & clear use of all the usual tricks of the trade that most of us are privy to these days. Very disappointing.

Salesperson did not have updated sales information and was unable to provide it. Unfortunately when we first arrived, someone else was test driving out of the lot the vehicle we came to test drive. They purchased it. :(

Car was not on lot after driving from out of town. Did not contact me back as promised and again car not available. Scheduled to come back the following day and still had to wait hours for detailing I was titled. Car was not detailed and absolutely disgusting inside. The car had dents all over and didn’t run any better than it looked. Should have walked out when I had to text the salesperson because no one else would acknowledge my presence with at least 5 employees in and out of the office.

Initial auto email came through. Ran my credit. Never heard back but I was also trying another covert dealer at the same time and they couldn’t help me so maybe that is why I never heard from them again till the follow up email. Not their fault life has been crazy for me and they couldn’t help.

When I sent the inquiry through CarGurus, I included a few questions I had about the vehicle. I received emails from 3 different people at Covert Ford, none of which answered my questions. I returned an email to one of the salespeople, again asking the questions, no response was received. Then I reached out to the second person that had sent me an email to begin with, again no response. A week later I received a vague email, asking how they could help me, but the vehicle I was interested in was already sold. Covert Ford obviously doesn't concern itself with customer service.

Have not been there yet because I am not in a rush to buy. They have been contacting me daily by e-mail almost to the point of being annoying. I have not counted them out and I do realize that the car business is extremely competitive but there is a fine line between pushy and helpful.

We purchased this vehicle. We were told that the car would be detailed and inspected before we could have the car. A loaner car was provided and instructions were provided on how we would be reimbursed for gas. We did not get the car today but also did not receive a call letting us know details on when we would get the car.

The price was low so I got interested. Their add was deceptive. It's not a Platinum. It's an XLT which doesn't come close to the Platinum. I pointed that out to them but they won't change the ad and be honest. Also there are only a few pics which are not helpful. You can't really know what the truck looks like unless you go to their lot. I wonder if that might be their ploy to get you there.

This is a first class dealer ; they contacted me right away sent me photos/video of the car I was interested in and offered it for a good price. Frankly I wud have bought it had it not been owned by a person who smoked alot in it (stink) and they understood and agreed with me. I'm still looking and if they get another in I wudn't hesitate to go there.

Used car sales is slow. The client I was working with was very nice and down to earth. Despite wanting to sale a vehicles, he was very understanding and explained to me that I should get what I want and not settle for anything else. His honesty alone made me want to purchase the vehicle I test drove even though it didn't reach my full expectations. Great sales associate, slow finance process.

Went there a couple times... First experience was pretty basic. Couldn't find the truck I wanted. A few days later, I got a text from George saying he had a match. He found a beautiful truck that matched all my criterias within my price range. In no time we were ready to buy. George is quiet and straight to the point... Very pleasant and professional.

Quick response went down to dealership checked out car. My only thing is that the salesperson said they have the key for a test drive but when I got there the car was buried behind cars and couldn’t get it out. I wasn’t worried about the test drive but for other customers that might want one

Great experience. Matt was professional, yet personable. We purchased the car site unseen based on his feedback from driving it ahead of time for us. We had the opportunity to "opt out" of course, when we drove from out of town to get the car. Nice job!

Very disappointing. I made an offer of 24k, and was told 24550 was the VERY BEST they could do. I then called it to their attention that it is listed on Car Gurus for less. Covert stated they were unaware the truck was listed and blamed the Marketing dept. This is the second time in a yr this exact same situation has happened at Covert Ford. Covert has lost all credibility with me

I initially exchanged emails with a salesman by the name of Gregory Ray and he was extremely helpful. I went to the dealership on a Thursday and when I got there Gregory was busy helping another customer. It took a very long time for someone else to come and assist us. The car lot itself was very crowded with cars. They were busy serving several customers but it was almost as if they didn't really care to try to work with me. I had CASH! That didn't seem to have any impact on the finance manager. We needed them to come down on the price of the car by $800 and he wouldn't budge. Overall, the dealership itself could use a little lesson in kindness.

The contact from Covert Ford was very polite, however, the vehicle that I inquired about had been sold several days previously. ALL dealers need to quickly update their listings so that customers do not waste their time inquiring about vehicles that are no longer available.

No prep on the truck, cracked windshield, cracked driver side mirror, broken housing for passenger side mirror and during all the texting back and forth the salesman never mentioned any faults. I drove about an hour hoping to get the truck only to drive home without one.

Eddy picked me up at the airport, he attended to my needs in a timely fashion. My overall rating is 4 stars for this reason alone. No one in the entire dealership said hello to me or asked if I needed anything besides Eddy. When I was waiting in the service department to sign the paperwork, they are very understaffed, zero personal attention, the parts department was ok, not great. Eddy was great, though when the times comes for a new truck probably will not pick Covert.

We began negotiating the price on my trade in over several days and we were not too far off from where I wanted to be. Then they come back with my price with trade in and turns out they raised the price $6000 (now $2000 over MSRP). In the days I was waiting for them to get back on me on my trade in they had raised the price on their site and on car gurus and I am sure other other sites as well. When I showed them screen shots of both cargurus listing and on their own dealer listing they claimed it was a mistake in advertisement. The car had been listed for the price I saw for nearly two weeks and before that was listed at MSRP. Don't let dealers like this pull a fast one on you. Overall I thought that move was just a waste of mine and their time.

Pete was a great sales rep. Knowledgable, accommodating, friendly and with a good sense of humor. No pressure, no problems. As always, larger dealer network practices are annoying. Now I'm on a list for their "truck month" promotions at a different dealer, for...trucks, which I have NO interest in. Such is the animal of car shopping...still. :)

They contacted me, and I thought the deal was a good one. We agreed on a price, It was for a very slightly used truck, and so it made sense to purchase from a dealer half a continent away, subsequently I flew out and bought the car. Buying experience was wonderful, Jeff Sheppard was a pleasure to deal with, in fact he was straight forward and seemed to avoid all the standard Car Salesman BS I have experienced in the past. I would recommend Jeff and Covert Ford to anybody who is in the market for a Ford Product.

Inquiried about the car, it price was over price by $1,600.00 vs Kelly Blue Book / KBB.com fair price based on the year and mileage. The salesman wouldn't come down at all on the prince of the car! Buyer do your research before you call these places!

While the dealer did reduce the price for me, the check engine light came on and the car began shuddering after just 2 days and 35 miles. After towing the car back to the dealer for service, the car needed 4 new spark plugs and 4 new coils. While I did purchase the car "as Is", I expected more mileage before experiencing any major issues . After much discussion, the manager did cover the cost of the tune-up, but only after first suggesting that I pay a portion so I would "understand my responsibility". Once the car was repaired, I was told that I was now "on my own". Despite the price reduction and free repair, the condescending attitude was enough for me to never return there.

God awful. Drive a 2004 Volvo and half way thru the test drive the real part of the car road funny. Got out and check everything. Runs out the driver side tire was about to throw tread. I had already noticed the rear tires would need to be replaced. I will admit, I didn't ask if they inspect all used cars before putting up for sale. But most large car dealers usually do. Then a 2008 Taurus X was online for 4250. Went in to see what I could do to purchase vehicle only to find out that the price on the Internet was wrong and should be 6750. Which isn't my problem. The manager never got up off his lazy butt to come explain it to or even consider a better deal on the Volvo because of the error. A good manager should have caught this. And the explanation was they use a 3rd party to put their info on the Internet. Well they need to find a better 3rd party. And then the salesman didn't have any business cards. So he went and got one from a different salesman and scratch that person's name and number out and put his on it. Really you should know when you are almost out of business cards. I don't know about the new car sales part, but it seems like a 3 ring circus at the used car sales and avoid going to this location.

Great deal and value for money at Covert Ford! Our whole experience was quick in quick out, taking just 2 hours from test drive to decision making to purchase. Ilan made sure to have the preowned car cleaned and gas filled before we drove it out the lot the very same day. No pressure, no hassle. Paul took less than 30 minutes to process the financing paperwork. (It helps to know what financing terms you want.) Being open, transparent, helpful, and offering you the best deal they can sets Covert Ford aside from other dealers.

The truck was I'm much rougher shape than I expected from pictures, so having driven from Houston, I was disappointed. But the truck was listed way below bluebook and mechanically in good shape so I bought it anyway. So far it's a great truck. The salesman I dealt with was very down to earth and honest. Process was pretty quick, my only problem came at finance. Just seemed like a lot added on to the price. Overall it was a good experience, and I'd send a friend there with no problem.
