Great people to deal with, so helpful and accommodating!

The girl who answered the phone was far more interested in whether they'd be getting off early for the holiday than showing us the car. We were planning to drive up from Cape Cod (translation: motivated buyer) but that didn't impress her. When I tried to contact someone about how unimpressed I was, the same girl wrote back and insisted that this is perfectly fine and the right way to help a customer. If Jim (if there is one) cares about selling cars he should have someone on the phone who actually wants to sell them. Not someone who gives bored-sounding answers and clearly just wants to be at the beach. My single worst dealership experience in years.

They responded within a few hours and were very helpful in providing vital information about the car. We are still looking but I appreciated their prompt and friendly response to our inquiry.

Jim's Auto was great at steering us towards what we were looking for without getting too pushy. They laid out all of the options in front of us and I would definitely take my Subaru to them in the future for work. They definitely know their Subarus

We were told there was a minor accident with the car. They were replacing the front fender and other small non structural items. When I ran Autocheck on the vehicle, it showed the car was totaled and sent to auction to be salvaged. This was never disclosed when I specifically asked about it. They were very nice on the phone and geniunly maybe weren't informed. However, do you really want to buy a car that the dealership doesn't know the full history, or is hiding it from you?

Response from current dealership:
I'm sorry that you were misinformed, we are fully aware of the history of the cars we buy, and we always disclose that these are rebuilt or salvage vehicles, tis why they are 25% cheaper then blue book value. We do not hide any of this information from our customers and disclose everything about the car, infact every part we replace is written on the price tag and displayed on our vehicles for our consumers to see. Also we just hired a new employee that we are continuing to train in which she has now been here a month, sorry you had a bad experience, but we always tell our customers about the

Dealer is a rebuilder. He said the car I was interested in had "minor damage," which he repaired "like new," and that he gets his cars from insurance companies. Cars that insurance companies have have been totaled. The insurers have paid the owners the full value of the cars and sold them for scrap. Jim's Auto may well rebuild the cars to like-new condition, but you should know they've been in a major accident.

Response from current dealership:
Dear Dan, i'm sorry you feel you had a bad experience, however yes some of our vehicles are "rebuilt" or "salvage" titles, and they are sold at a significantly reduced price and are rebuilt like new, and pass state inspection, and every salvage vehicle we sell the customer knows that's what it is because we list everything that was replaced on the car on the back of our price tags. we disclaim all information to our consumers....we ALSO sell CLEANTITLED or"non salvaged" vehicles as well and come with full service and warrantied. any questions can be answered at 97

This is a family business and the dealers were friendly and willing to accommodate my request that a couple of post-sale minor repairs be done by my mechanic in Worcester, which he would pay for, rather than my taking the car all the way back to Salisbury. I have only had the car two weeks, but, so far, the 2007 Prius I bought seems terrific.
