Overall, our experience was good. My only concern is that we have made several attempts to make an appointment to service a "leak" they agreed to service at that time of purchase. They said they were ordering the part. I do not want to think that they have gone "ghost." It has been several weeks now and we have not heard anything from them. While our overall experience was very good, I have to admit that the communication after the purchase has been extremely disappointing.

Overall terrible experience. Nothing was done in a timely manner. I was told Car would be ready for me to take to my mechanic and dents removed if I didn't come yesterday but this morning. Drove 45 minutes to dealer car was not prepared at all, not even clean. On top of that while they knew I was on the way to take it it was completely blocked in and no one cared that worked there to move anything out of the way. As per any customer I tried to negotiate terms of the vehicle and was met with an attitude from the GM of the dealership who proceeded to belittle me for looking out for my best interests. It is the job of the salesman/GM to understand the frustration of their customer and dissolve it. Not belittle them while they are frustrated. Great way to lose a sale. Which by the way, they did. I did not even get a chance to take the car off the lot for a test drive. This is one of those BARE MINIMUM used car spots. GO SOMEWHERE THAT ACTUALLY WANTS YOUR BUSINESS!
I canât say enough how great the experience was at AutoCity. Tim was responsive,
communicative, knowledgeable and helpful through the whole process. He returned
my calls promptly, and he helped me get an amazing deal. I felt like everyone I
spoke to or interacted with was genuine, and I would come back here in a minute
for a car.

This car should not be listed as it wasn't even available for a test drive. There were issues that required
service, but it wasn't completed as we were told when we arrived. We looked at other cars; however,
the service was not what we would have wanted.

Initially the communication was good, then I asked if I could pay with credit card as my credit is excellent & I have 0 percent for 15 months and I've done this before - crickets... I followed up a couple ot times - crickets....
Gave them one star so folks would understand I did not forget that part.

This dealership is one of the most unprofessional
used car dealers in Hampton Roads. The bar
isnâÂÂt really set that high but they are truly ranked
low because of poor
customer service, questionable professionalism
reflected by terrible leadership , and an
unsecured car lot with shoddy oversight that
leads to theft of car parts and physical
damage when cars are moved. It made me very
uneasy in such a small office where no one cared
about health guidelines. The âÂÂownerâ William
Evans Helms(Evan) Who sits
in the front desk to the right in the main lobby is
condescending with a bad attitude. He acts as if
youâÂÂre not valued as a customer by the way he
talked to me(he told me he
didnâÂÂt like my attitude). This was after I told him I
didnâÂÂt like his attitude and asked to speak to his
boss. Prior to, he put on this weird act like
pretending to call âÂÂhis bossâÂÂ

called the dealership, and my questions were answered quickly. When I arrived at the
dealer, the car I had discussed was ready to test drive, and the representative had the
keys in his pocket. I returned after a test drive and within minutes of settling on a final
price, I drove away with a great car at a great price. I highly recommend this team and
appreciate all their work!
I drove the 09 black f150 and the gas pedal dropped to floor by itself with my foot only on the brake!! Coming from a complete stop! Had to take key out to stop it from dragging me thru intersection. They were supposed to be getting it checked out and get back to me but did not. They all gave the run around. I came with check in hand and this is the crappy service I get?! Plus they avoided me because they sold it instead of telling me they weren't going to do anything about it. Vehicle is NOT SAFE! BUYER BEWARE! Don't buy from this ratchet place. Worst customer service I have ever seen in life or on TV!

Looked at this truck, started up was rough idle, interior smelled like cigarettes then popped he hood and the whole engine compartment and engine was covered in oil. I mean everywhere. I asked what happen sales person didn't know. I said lost me on this one and walked out. this wasnt ready to be sold looking and smelling like it did.
Helped with everything that we had questioned. Was very
upfront and honest as well as quick to respond. Had
more information on the same day as requested. This
particular vehicle listing was a little off... The car has
back up sensors yet a backup camera was actually listed.
Not a deal breaker though. (Also had some additional
options on the car that were not listed that turned out to
be a plus). The cars were as clean as they could be with
where they had to sit for viewing. Ed worked with us from
early in the morning dealing with a trade in that just left
the beach to around dinner when we were able to get
everything finalized (we had to leave for a few hours
because we had two small children with us). He was
great and helped transfer property over from one car to
the other as well as helped keep us all dry in a monsoon.

Well to start the vehicle was not at the lot it is listed at and the day I inquired about the vehicle the salesman for the lot, Ed was out for the day. I was able to take a test drive but was not able to talk business. Left my number with the guy at the lot but heard nothing back. So called Ed a few days later after hearing nothing. He would not make any sort of offer on the vehicle, returned to the lot on Saturday and still Ed would make no offer at all. Called again after looking at several other vehicles, still nothing. Really wanted to purchase the vehicle but it seems that Ed is content to sit in his office and do nothing. All it would have took was a good attitude and a little negotiation.

Good response time.
Went down to look and got the old "bait and switch"... "oh.. that one is not
available"... after I confirmed it was there before driving down. Did look at one
other. They would not even consider negotiating on price, car was blocked in
the lot so I could not test drive it at the time. They wanted me to make the 45
minutes drive back and look at "options".
I contacted the salesman in Portsmouth about the 2008 Cadillac DTS and was told that the car was in Chesapeake. I drove there the next day which is 100 miles from my home and was told by the salesman that someone had put a 3,000.00 deposit on it. I had cash. I checked later and the car was still there. I was there in late June and he said the person was to come for it the first week in July. I called on July 11th and was told the car was still available. I would not want to drive to Chesapeake again and the car is not available.

Responded back once, wasn’t interested in negotiating a deal for a vehicle that had been sitting on a lot for sale for 1 1/2 years according to the dealership’s CarGurus listing!! Communicated with other salespersons, and was advised that if they had a vehicle for sale for that extended amount of time they would have at least asked the potential buyer some questions or made suggestions for other vehicles. This salesperson appeared to be nonchalant to me.

When we began this business we have never overloaded our sales staff, because most of our customers do not like to feel like vultures are circling them. The price on the windshield is a cash price only beware of the
price if you have to finance it the price will go up about $3000
more and if you have to finance it they want half down of the

The dealership was rather small, but they had a very nice
selection! I worked with Tony in buying a car and he was
excellent..The only thing that I feel could have went more smoothly
was the detailing of the car upon pick up..The outside of the car
had been somewhat washed but the inside hadn't been
touched..Im still very pleased with my purchase I bought a 2006
Honda Accord 5 speed..Overall I received great service, Tony was

I made an appointment to drive a car, and could not get any help. I waited over 1-1/2 hours to drive 2 cars. I decided to buy one of them, gave them my bank's info, gave my bank the dealer's info, applied for the loan, they were in contact with each other - and they still sold the car out from under me!

Totally misrepresented the vehicle. Lied about detailing it. When I
showed up to look at it, the car was not even on the lot. On the
phone, he told me the car was totally clean, went to look at it a
shop he had it (supposedly the car had been detailed) and it
looked filthy dirty on the inside. It had never been cleaned,
smelled like it had massive oil leaks. Don't trust these guys.
I would not advise anymore to buy from this place. They are very
unprofessional. There lot is so small we got blocked in for 10 15
min. They do there paperwork for customers in open and not in a
office. I called and said I was coming from North Carolina.
Salesperson kept running around dealership doing to many things at
one time. We finally told him him what we thought and we drive all
this way buy a truck. He said nobody told you to come. My wife get
really upset and told him a piece of her mind. People don't go here
to buy a vehicle!!!!!!! It's looks very shady.

Awful. Both cars I test drove had dirty interiors. One had audibly bad brakes. I was told I should come back in a week when I had a loan check because their was no way my Navy Fed would approve me for a second auto loan before the first was paid off. I'm sure it was just ignorance of Navy Fed's operations but I bought my Forester yesterday through Navy Fed, so there you go.
