What Volvo XC90 do most buyers choose?

The Volvo XC90 years with the most listings are 2024, 2025, and 2023.

Those higher-volume years tend to be popular because they give you a broad mix of pricing, features, and availability. More listings also make it easier to compare condition, equipment, and deal quality before you buy.

What is the Volvo XC90's resale value?

The table shows broad downward movement across the XC90 lineup, which can work in your favor if you’re shopping used. Newer model years are still declining, but the changes are smaller than the sharper drops seen in several older years. That pattern gives you more room to find value without giving up the XC90’s core appeal.

The 2024, 2025, and 2016 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: Volvo continues to offer a choice of three powertrains in the XC90, all with standard AWD and an eight-speed automatic transmission, and the XC90 plug-in hybrid offers up to 33 miles of pure-electric range on a full charge.
• Tech: The infotainment system is larger and offers sharper resolution, it runs the new user interface, and Apple CarPlay connectivity is standard and worked seamlessly when connected both wirelessly and via USB-C cable.
