| 2016 | 304 | 31.3% |
| 2019 | 274 | 29.6% |

What is the Volkswagen Beetle's resale value?
| Model Year | Current Avg. Price | Year-Over-Year Change |
|---|---|---|
| 2018 | $19,946 | +1.93% |

Prices are moving upward across every model year shown, which means used Beetles have been retaining value well. The increases are modest on the older model years and stronger on the newest one, so shoppers should expect firmer pricing on the most recent examples. That pattern also suggests the Beetle’s style and desirability continue to support resale demand.
The 2019, 2014, and 2015 model years have held their value best, with prices flat to rising year-over-year.

Why it stands out
The 2015 Volkswagen Beetle stands out for its retro styling and the flexibility of its trim range, which lets buyers tailor the car to their needs without paying for features they do not want. It is also a car with personality: the summary notes that this year’s Beetle Convertible TDI keeps the familiar look while losing some of the cute, giving it a slightly more guy-friendly character than in years past.
It does not give up on driving appeal, either. The 2015 Beetle offers three engine choices, including a new, more powerful TDI clean diesel that also improves fuel economy. That combination of style, choice, and efficiency makes it appealing to shoppers who want something distinctive rather than purely practical, though it is not a bargain no matter which trim you choose.
