Equipped with a robust V6 engine and a spacious three-row configuration, it offers ample room for passengers and cargo while maintaining excellent fuel efficiency, especially in its hybrid variant. Additionally, the standard suite of advanced safety features ensures peace of mind on the road, reinforcing Toyota's commitment to quality and safety that has garnered high ratings from both experts and users alike.
Other model years to consider
The 2015 and 2016 Toyota Highlander models present excellent alternatives for buyers seeking a balance of affordability and positive user feedback. With average prices around $16,847 and $18,380 respectively, both years maintain high user ratings of 4.8/5 and 4.6/5, while also enjoying strong availability of good deals at 34% and 38%.
Additionally, the 2019 model stands out as a moderately suitable choice due to its competitive pricing of approximately $24,133 and a solid user rating of 4.6/5, along with an impressive deal availability at 37%. These options provide a range of price points while ensuring favorable reviews from current owners.
Model years to approach with caution
When considering the Toyota Highlander, buyers should closely examine various model years due to differing market positioning and user feedback patterns. The 2010 and 2011 models stand out for their relatively high user ratings of 4.5/5 and 4.4/5, respectively, but a significant percentage of listings are not categorized as good deals, indicating that careful negotiation may be necessary. In contrast, earlier models like the 2005 Highlander have garnered an impressive user rating of 4.6/5 but come with a lower average price, though they also face challenges in deal quality.

I loved my Highlander. I give my 2021 Toyota Highlander a 100 out of 10 on its safety. My car was a limited and it had most bells and whistles which I loved but what I loved most was that we all walked away from a collision where we were traveling 40 miles an hour and thanks to the safety design , we’re here.
