I love this car so much! I do miss the smaller features of my 2014 Ford Fusion like the navigation and sunroof. However, the fuel economy with the Toyota Camry hybrid is better than the fusion and it has many of the features I am already used to. It offers a smooth ride, great connectivity with your phone via Bluetooth, and the adaptive cruise control is great for thruway driving. Overall, I feel this is a great value and I'm happy with my purchase so far!

Wanted another Camry hybrid after owning one for 9+ years. Great miles per gallon, reliable, and low maintenance. Can’t compare to other brands as we are loyal Toyota owners, but would highly recommend a Camry hybrid. Chose the XSE over the LE model we had prior for the added amenities (moonroof, leather seats, heated seats, sportier look, etc.). Do know that tires on a hybrid are a little pricier and don’t last as long as the tires we have put on the other Toyotas we own. Appreciate the ‘22 with the Apple CarPlay and the enhanced cruise control and lane monitoring features, etc. This car was a good value overall for its age and mileage. And always feel like a Toyota is a good value as they last so long.

Gets 50+ MPG in real world driving . Very smooth and quiet drive. Love that the radar cruise control also works in stop and go traffic even in the base model.

Why it stands out
The 2021 Toyota Camry Hybrid stands out as a used midsize sedan that blends efficiency with everyday comfort and a strong reputation for practicality. It sits in the Camry’s third generation of hybrid models, which brought a more upscale feel, a sportier fastback-style shape, and a more adventurous interior design while still keeping the core Camry strengths of affordability, practicality, and ease of ownership. For buyers who want a hybrid that feels familiar but not plain, that combination is a big part of its appeal.
Mechanically, the 2021 Toyota Camry Hybrid uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and electric motor setup that sends power to the front wheels through a CVT, with 208 horsepower and EPA combined fuel economy of 46-52 mpg depending on spec. It also offers a broad spread of equipment, including LED headlights, dual-zone climate control, a rear-view camera, heated front seats, an electrically adjustable driver’s seat, radar cruise control, and Toyota’s safety packages with features such as automatic braking with pedestrian detection and lane-departure alert with steering assist. A mid-life update for the 2020 model year added Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration for all trims, along with mild cosmetic updates, which helps make this model year feel current in the used market.
The main tradeoff is that the Camry Hybrid is still more about comfort and efficiency than excitement. The source describes it as well-built and unlikely to let you down, and owner feedback echoes that with praise for its smooth ride, comfort, fuel efficiency, and technology features. Some drivers do note that it sits lower to the ground than they prefer, so it may take a little adjustment if you want a higher driving position.
