Which Porsche Panamera trim should I buy?

The 2023 Porsche Panamera offers these trims:

• Panamera: The base twin-turbo V6 and rear-wheel drive make this the entry point, and it suits you if you want the core Panamera experience with the least complexity.
• Panamera Platinum Edition: This adds exclusive detailing, unique 21-inch wheels, a sport exhaust system, and the Premium Package with 14-way power-adjustable front seats with heating and ventilation, heated rear seats, four-zone automatic climate control, Bose premium sound, adaptive LED headlights, and blind-spot monitoring. It stands out as the best-value trim.
• Panamera Executive: The extended-wheelbase body gives you more rear-seat room for a more limousine-like feel.
• Panamera Sport Turismo: The sport wagon body adds extra versatility and a more cargo-friendly shape.
• Panamera 4: All-wheel drive broadens traction and confidence for buyers who want that added capability.
• Panamera 4S: This version adds more power within the lineup.
• Panamera GTS: The twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 and sport-focused setup make this the choice for buyers who want stronger performance.

What Porsche Panamera do most buyers choose?

The Porsche Panamera years with the most listings are 2024, 2023, and 2022.

These higher-volume years tend to be the most popular used picks because they give you more inventory to compare and more chances to find the right price and equipment mix. They also sit in the part of the lineup where newer features and broader availability often overlap.

What is the Porsche Panamera's resale value?

Most model years are down year over year, which is good news if you’re shopping used because it creates more room to find value. The biggest drops are concentrated in the newer and higher-priced years, while a few older years are nearly flat. That makes the lineup especially appealing if you want a luxury performance sedan with softer used pricing than its original sticker suggests.

The 2017 and 2019 model years are holding steady, with prices close to flat year-over-year.

The 2017, 2019, and 2014 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Porsche Panamera safe?

• 2023: 5/10
• 2021: 6/10
• 2017: 7/10

Adaptive cruise control is standard on all 2023 Panameras.

For the safest used buy, the 2017 model posts the highest confirmed score of 7/10.

Should I buy a used Porsche Panamera now or wait for the next model?

• Deal availability: The 2024 model has 30.2% good and great deals.
• Sweet-spot year: The 2024 model has the most listings at a current average price of $93,077. The Porsche Panamera offers a rare mix of sports-car character, luxury, and everyday practicality.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: Naturally, the most affordable versions of this Porsche are also the least powerful. The base Panamera and Panamera Platinum Edition have a twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter V6 engine generating 325 horsepower at 6,800 rpm and 331 pound-feet of torque between 1,800 rpm and 5,000 rpm.
• Tech: The infotainment system features wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM 360L satellite radio, and Connect Plus connected services.
• Safety: Porsche fortifies the Panamera Platinum Edition with numerous advanced driving assistance systems (ADAS). These active safety features include adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring with a lane-change assist function, and parking sensors.
• Starting price: The lineup starts at more than $113,000.

If you're buying used today, the 2024 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
