The all-generations owner rating is 4.31/5 across every model year in the data.

The main trade-offs in recent expert reviews are lackluster performance and tight rear-seat legroom, so the Sentra makes the most sense if you care more about everyday comfort and features than quick acceleration.

Which Nissan Sentra trim should I buy?

The 2026 Nissan Sentra offers these trims:

• S: The entry trim includes LED headlights and taillights, a 12.3-inch center touchscreen, smartphone integration, and a full set of driver-assistance technologies, making it the value-focused starting point.
• SV: This trim adds aluminum-alloy wheels, a larger digital driver display, wireless phone projection, and available conveniences like a wireless device charger, making it a strong everyday choice.
• SR: The SR brings 18-inch wheels, a sportier appearance, available premium interior touches, and the sweet spot for shoppers who want more style and equipment.
• SL: The SL adds quilted leatherette upholstery, standard heated front seats, a power moonroof, and standard ProPilot Assist, making it the most upscale choice in the lineup.

What Nissan Sentra do most buyers choose?

The Nissan Sentra years with the most listings are 2024, 2025, and 2023.

These higher-volume model years tend to attract more shoppers because they offer a broad mix of availability, pricing, and newer features. When supply is deeper, you also get more chances to compare trims, mileage, and condition.

What is the Nissan Sentra's resale value?

Most Sentra model years are down year over year, which can work in your favor if you're shopping used. The newer years in the table are also showing declines, so recent-model buyers may find better pricing than they did a year ago.

The 2014 model year is holding steady, with prices close to flat year-over-year.

The 2014, 2023, and 2020 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Should I buy a used Nissan Sentra now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

• Price trend: The 2025 model is at −4.24% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −7.19%.
• Deal availability: The 2025 model has 36.6% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 36.6%.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: A dual-overhead-cam 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine makes 149 horsepower and 146 pound-feet of torque, and Nissan estimates 29 mpg city, 38 highway, and 33 combined in the S and SV trims, 28/36/32 in the SR and SL trims.
• Tech: Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, wireless phone projection is limited to only the SV grade and above, and the SL and SR trim with the Premium Package also receive an eight-speaker Bose stereo.
• Safety: New for 2026, blind-spot intervention also helps protect drivers and passengers from accidentally merging into traffic.

If you're buying used today, the 2024 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
