Why it stands out
The Nissan Maxima distinguishes itself in the marketplace as a well-rounded sedan that combines sporty performance with a luxurious feel, earning it the nickname "four-door sports car." Its long-standing reputation for reliability and attractive styling makes it a compelling choice for buyers seeking a premium vehicle without the associated high costs. Additionally, the Maxima's competitive pricing, especially in the used market, offers significant value compared to larger sedans, making it an appealing option for those looking for advanced features and comfort at an affordable price.
Other model years to consider
Based on the latest market metrics, the 2018 and 2016 Nissan Maxima models present viable options for buyers seeking affordability and quality. The 2018 model, priced at approximately $14,641 with a strong user rating of 4.6/5, offers a solid combination of value and positive feedback, while the 2016 model is even more affordable at around $12,016 and boasts an impressive user rating of 4.7/5. Both years have a notable percentage of good or great deals available in the market, enhancing their appeal as budget-friendly choices without compromising on quality.
Model years to approach with caution
When considering the Nissan Maxima, buyers should carefully evaluate model years based on financial aspects and quality metrics. For instance, the 2008 and 2007 models received high user ratings but are notably associated with a significant percentage of listings that do not qualify as good or great deals, indicating potential price inflation in the marketplace. Additionally, earlier models like those from 1998 to 2003 maintain solid ratings but may present availability constraints, making it essential for buyers to assess both quality and market conditions before making a purchase decision.

What people say
Great car! Awesome features. The only thing I plan to add is a remote starter and a rear spoiler. Runs like a dream!
Considering that i have the lowest trim, this car has some very cool features that you don’t normally find in base models! I love the interior comfort and the smooth ride it provides. The exterior is such a beautiful design, I get compliments on the rarity of the car. When you see it, you have to do a double take!
Great car for my son. Loaded with lots of extras. Drives great and looks great.
The Maxima is one of my favorite cars, it has lots of power and its very stylish. This particular one is has heated seats and steering wheel, I like that it has dual Sun roof. My only issue is that front sunroof doesnt have a cover up so to not let in any sun when too hot.
Good value, nothing missing, great trim and overall ride
