Most reliable car I've ever owned. One of 50 sold in the US with a manual transmission. At 146000 miles it still has the original clutch. No squeaks or rattles, and a great highway cruiser. My only gripe about this car is that it is rusting...bottom of passenger door is pretty bad

This car was the last good Altima built. It features standard options with leather, decent performance for a car of its class, and is very reliable. The car has been pushed hard, and yet never showed any problems. Acceleration from 0-60 is between 9-10 seconds, which was okay for its time. The handling and breaking is impressive for a FWD sedan in its class. The design still holds well for an 8-year-old car. The new Altimas improved in designs and performance, but Nissan has degraded the materials they use to a subpar level. There have also bee reliability issues with the newer models. This is unfortunate for a company that use to build such great vehicles. Overall, this is a great car and I hope Nissan can recover from its recent mistakes.

Car drives awesome. Very reliable and comfy. I have had the car since july 2005 and have had minimal trouble with it. Leather seats, and custom low profile wheels. Sun/Moon roof makes for a great drive in any weather.

Its my car...I mean whats to say? I drive this thing into the ground. It's a 4 banger so it doesn't have much power, but I still like to pretend it does. It's a fun little car to drive, it gets pretty decent gas mileage and it runs like its supposed to. Now that I have a consistent job, I can treat it as well as it's treated me. You know what I mean? I love my car for what it's worth. Its never given me any real problems, and I appreciate that. Nissan knows how to do cars well. I'd recommend a new or used one.
