Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Mazda i-Activsense, including blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, and adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go.
• Infotainment: Mazda Connect infotainment system with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

Which Mazda CX-9 trim should I buy?

The 2022 Mazda CX-9 offers these trims:

• Sport: The entry trim brings Mazda Connect, wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, standard all-wheel drive, and the core safety suite, making it the most affordable way into the lineup.
• Touring: Adds available Bose audio, SiriusXM availability, and more convenience and tech content, making it a strong value choice for shoppers who want a richer feature set.
• Carbon Edition: Adds standard SiriusXM, a wireless charging pad, and extra safety content, along with a more distinctive appearance.
• Grand Touring: Adds Mazda Navigation, an Active Driving Display, standard wireless charging, and a more upscale equipment mix for buyers who want a more premium feel.
• Signature: The top trim adds the most luxury-oriented content, including the richest cabin presentation and the fullest tech and comfort package.

What Mazda CX-9 do most buyers choose?

The Mazda CX-9 years with the most listings are 2022, 2020, and 2021.

These higher-volume years tend to be popular because they give you a wider selection of trims, prices, and mileage levels. That usually makes it easier to find a CX-9 that fits your budget and feature priorities.

What is the Mazda CX-9's resale value?

The table shows broad downward movement across the lineup, which is good news if you’re shopping used. Several model years have seen sizable drops, especially among the newer examples, so you may find stronger value on recent CX-9s than you would expect from their original positioning.

The smallest year-over-year changes are concentrated in the lower single digits, which suggests some model years have softened more slowly than others. That gives you a useful spread of pricing opportunities depending on how new you want to go.

The 2017, 2023, and 2014 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
