Drove this now about 2 months ago. Well, comparing it to my F430, this car is no where as in the way it performs, the way it handles, and the way it looks. This car just feels like a big Audi TT. Well sort of (saying that it is alot more powerful) but it is more comfortable, more civilised especially and the spyder version looks astonishingly beautiful. I only opt for the F430 because - It cost cheaper - It feels better - It drives better - has a smaller engine size which means I pay less roadtax - and because it's a Ferrari Well the thing is that in the Gallardo you get luxuries! i mean you get satnav, superb leather seats and it makes you feel superb in it. I really can't explain why but this car feels good. People just look at you when you drive around in it but somehow because now that Lamborghini is made by Audi, it just doesn't feel as grand but not saying that I wouldn't buy one. People who have driven this car would understand what im talking about and I think this car is exactly the exact replica of Audi's first attempt at creating a Lambo. It just isn't as poise because it's just soo civilised. Olden day Lambo's have always been lunatic and you just go crazy just to drive one. Elvis Presly shot his lambo because it was soo difficult to drive. This was what all Lambo's should be and not poise, easy and no lunacy in it. However at some point I think I am wrong. I mean who am I lying about, it does look better than an F430. Look at it and i just think I would opt to buy one soon because it's easier to drive in the city and it's 4WD system gives a 70-30 power distribution. That means it can powerslide but it also give's you grip and I love the e-gear! the flappy paddle gearbox. The only thing is that if i were to buy one, I have got to buy the Spyder version. Simply because - It looks better - It's more powerful - It looks innocent in white - and I can hear the engine noise but DONT BE FOOLED! Audi has just release the Audi R8 which shares the same chasis with this car and i heard that it handles much better and you pay half of what you pay for this BIG Audi TT. The only thing is that it only has 420hp. thats short of nearly 100hp and thats alot

it is an absolutely fantastic car. Maybe due to my f2 racing back-round but i adore this car . Not only can it be driven everyday but the gear box i can live with. The build quality is so much better than the previous diablo i owned . I feel like i need not mention its stunning looks. Gas milage is poor but for a supercar not bad at 12/20 mpg .

With its forward-leaning side mirrors and stern angular front end, the Lamborghini Gallardo is a fighting bull in every sense of the word, poised to unleash its V10 fury on a waiting world. Introduced in 2004, the Gallardo is the new entry-level racer in the Lamborghini lineup, a cheaper (for what that's worth) Murcielago that's also intended to be an all-round road-burner.
Meant to rival the Ferrari F430, the Gallardo has become Lamborghini's top-selling car in just four years on the market, easily outpacing the previous best-seller, the Diablo. The reason may be that the Gallardo gives drivers all the speed and racing action they desire, while throwing in some everyday comfort and practicality, like all-wheel drive, front and side airbags, and stability control. A lighter aluminum body helps offset the extra weight of the all-wheel drive, not compromising at all the mid-mounted 5.0-liter V10 engine. This V10 is new for Lamborghini and was originally rated at 492-hp, until it got a boost to 512 in 2007. It does 0-60 in just over 4 seconds.
The Gallardo is also the first Lamborghini to have 19-inch tires, compared to the Murcielago's 18-inch ones. Unlike the Murcielago, the doors are front-hinged. The Gallardo features more brittle angles, and even the folding side mirrors angle forward. Sitting only 18 inches off the ground, it is low-down and mean. An optional clear cover panel can be placed over the engine to show the beast lurking beneath.
Originally offered as a coupe, the Gallardo expanded in 2006 to a Spyder convertible, with a power-retractable soft top, and in 2007 offered a limited edition Nera coupe, with Alcantara leather seats and a menacing all-black exterior. Facing such a monster head to head, I'd put my money on the fighting bull.
