Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Emergency Brake Assist, Cornering Brake Control, and dynamic stability control
• Infotainment: touchscreen interface with navigation, voice control, and parking aids
• Fuel efficiency: I saw a combined fuel economy of about 19 mpg in mixed driving, pretty close to the 20 mpg combined rating Jaguar says to expect. City and highway EPA estimates are 17/27, respectively.

Which Jaguar XF trim should I buy?

The 2015 Jaguar XF offers these trims:

• XF 2.0T Premium: the entry point, with the 240-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder and the value-focused starting price; this is the best-value trim for shoppers who want the XF's core luxury and style at the lowest cost.
• XF 3.0 AWD Sport: adds the supercharged 3.0-liter V6, all-wheel drive, and a more performance-oriented setup with an 8-speed ZF automatic and Sport mode; it suits buyers who want stronger acceleration and all-weather confidence.
• XFR-S: the top performance model, with the supercharged 5.0-liter V8 and the most extreme output in the lineup.

What Jaguar XF do most buyers choose?

The Jaguar XF years with the most listings are 2016, 2017, and 2015.

Higher-listing years tend to draw more shoppers because they give you more inventory to compare and more chances to find the right color, mileage, and price combination. They also often become the easiest years to shop quickly when you want a broader selection of deals.

What is the Jaguar XF's resale value?

The table shows downward movement for both model years, which can work in your favor if you're shopping used. One year has fallen sharply, while the other has also moved lower but by a smaller amount. That pattern gives you room to find value across both older and newer XF listings.

The 2024 and 2017 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Jaguar XF safe?

• 2015: 7/10

For the safest used buy, the 2015 model posts the highest confirmed score of 7/10.

How does the 2015 Jaguar XF compare to the 2026 BMW 5 Series?

Our experts score the 2015 Jaguar XF 8.2/10 and the 2026 BMW 5 Series 8/10. The Jaguar XF brings a more distinctive personality, with a stylish cabin and a strong value story.
