About 2023 Jaguar XF
The Jaguar XF is a somewhat forgotten luxury sedan that offers an upscale interior and sporty leanings. It’s not as popular or as powerful as its rivals from Germany, but it’s a long-running model within Jaguar’s niche. Jaguar offers the 2023 XF in three trims: S, SE, and R-Dynamic SE. Two powertrains are available, depending on the trim. The base P250 powertrain includes a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine making 246 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. The upgraded P300 powertrain comes with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder making 296 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. P250 models come with rear-wheel drive (RWD), while the P300 gets all-wheel drive (AWD). Acceleration ranges from 5.8 to 6.5 seconds to go from zero to 60 mph. The XF comes standard with 18-inch wheels and LED exterior lighting. Jaguar offers a black exterior appearance package, but aside from that, exterior option choices are sparse. Inside, synthetic leather upholstery comes standard, and Jaguar offers an $1,800 full-leather upgrade. Other interior packages include a rear-seat convenience pack with clothes hangers and hooks, an interior protection package, an emergency package, and a cold weather pack. An 11.4-inch touchscreen comes standard and brings wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Bluetooth, SiriusXM radio, HD radio, and a remote vehicle access app are also standard. The car also comes with a 400-watt Meridian sound system that offers 12 speakers and a dual-channel subwoofer. The touchscreen resides atop a newly redesigned center console that features a revised shifter design. It’s a prominent fixture in the interior, but its positioning helps it blend in with the rest of the dash, rather than perching on top. Due to the expense and to Jaguar’s relatively low production volume, the automaker does not submit all of its vehicles for annual safety tests. This is not an indication of their lack of safety or any issues with safety equipment; it simply means that Jaguars are not tested with the same frequency that vehicles from some mainstream luxury automakers are. The XF comes standard with front and rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alerts, a driver-condition monitoring system, lane-keep assist, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control. Perhaps the XF’s biggest problem is its competition, which includes some of the world’s most recognizable luxury sedans. Buyers may also consider the Audi A6, the BMW 5 Series, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, or the Volvo S90. Unfortunately for the Jag, it’s one of the older designs in its segment, so the BMW, Mercedes, and Audi offer more responsive chassis configurations, better tech, and more generous safety features. The 2023 Jaguar XF is on sale now with a starting price of $47,000 before taxes, options, and destination. The mid-range XF SE starts at $49,300, and the top R-Dynamic SE trim starts at $52,700.
