Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Hyundai Smart Park remote-parking feature, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree parking camera system, and a blind-spot camera system
• Infotainment: an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto
• Fuel efficiency: It returns EPA fuel-economy estimates of 25 mpg city, 32 mpg highway, and 28 mpg combined.

Which Hyundai Tucson trim should I buy?

The 2024 Hyundai Tucson offers these trims:

• SE: The entry trim brings 17-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, two USB ports, remote keyless entry, a manually adjustable driver’s seat, HD radio, power windows, and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto. It’s the best-value starting point if you want the core Tucson experience.
• SEL: This trim adds push-button start, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless device charging, and two more USB ports. It’s a smart step up if you want more everyday convenience.
• XRT: This trim adds unique black 19-inch alloy wheels, side steps, dark exterior trim, functional roof racks, and features from the SEL Convenience Package, including synthetic leather upholstery. It suits you if you want a more rugged-looking Tucson with extra equipment.
• Limited: This trim adds ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, genuine leather upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, an upgraded Bose premium stereo system, memory settings for the driver’s seat, upgraded headlights, a dark chrome grille, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree parking camera system, Hyundai’s Smart Park remote-parking feature, and a blind-spot camera system. It’s the most fully equipped choice.

What Hyundai Tucson do most buyers choose?

The Hyundai Tucson years with the most listings are 2024, 2025, and 2023.

The highest-volume years tend to be the most popular because they give you the broadest mix of availability, pricing, and deal opportunities. They also usually sit close to the sweet spot between newer features and used-car value.

What is the Hyundai Tucson's resale value?

Most Tucson model years are down year over year, which creates better buying opportunities for used shoppers. The sharpest declines are concentrated in newer and mid-cycle examples, while a few older years are falling more gradually. That mix suggests you can find stronger value in several recent model years without giving up the Tucson’s core appeal.

The 2024 model year is holding steady, with prices close to flat year-over-year.

The 2024, 2015, and 2018 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Hyundai Tucson safe?

• 2024: 10/10
• 2022: 9/10
• 2021: 8/10
• 2016: 10/10

For the safest used buy, the 2016 and 2024 models both post the highest confirmed score of 10/10.

Consider waiting if:

• Tech: The standard infotainment system includes an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto, and the SEL Convenience Package, XRT, and Limited trims all come with a fully digital instrument panel, as well as a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen.
• Safety: Stepping up to the range-topping Limited trim adds front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree parking camera system, and Hyundai’s Smart Park remote-parking feature.
• Starting price: Base MSRP for the 2024 Hyundai Tucson is $27,250 for the SE trim.

If you're buying used today, the 2024 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
