The Hyundai Tucson's current nationwide average price is $20,384, and its lowest point over the past year was $19,429. Recently, prices have come down for the 2023 and 2025 models, making now a good time to shop recent model years.

Is the Hyundai Tucson a good car?

Yes — the Hyundai Tucson is a strong used SUV choice if you want comfort, space, and value in a well-equipped package. The all-generations owner rating is 4.5/5 across every model year in the data.

Owners consistently praise the Tucson’s spacious cabin, comfortable ride, and strong value for money. They also frequently highlight its modern technology and overall practicality, which help it feel like a well-rounded compact SUV for everyday use.

Expert reviews rate the 2024 and 2022 models among the highest across all years.

Key things to evaluate:

• Infotainment: The 2024 Tucson includes an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto.
• Fuel efficiency: The 2024 Hyundai Tucson returns EPA fuel-economy estimates of 25 mpg city, 32 mpg highway, and 28 mpg combined.

Which Hyundai Tucson trim should I buy?

The 2024 Hyundai Tucson offers these trims:

• SE: The best-value starting point, with 17-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, two USB ports, remote keyless entry, a manually adjustable driver’s seat, HD radio, power windows, and an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto.

What Hyundai Tucson do most buyers choose?

The Hyundai Tucson years with the most listings are 2025, 2024, and 2023.

These higher-volume years tend to be popular because they give you the broadest mix of availability, pricing, and deal opportunities. When more listings are on the market, you usually have more room to compare trims, colors, and equipment before you buy.

What is the Hyundai Tucson's resale value?

Most Tucson model years are down year over year, and several recent ones show double-digit declines. That creates a favorable setup for used buyers who want to shop recent model years at lower prices than they commanded a year ago. A few older years are falling more gradually, while the 2024 model is moving slightly higher.

The 2024, 2018, and 2016 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Hyundai Tucson safe?

• 2024: 10/10
• 2022: 9/10
• 2021: 8/10
• 2016: 10/10

A number of driver assistance features come standard on the Hyundai Tucson, including automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, automatic high beams, driver attention monitoring, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.

For the safest used buy, the 2016 and 2024 models both post the highest confirmed score of 10/10.
