What should I look for when buying a used Hyundai IONIQ 5?

Across all model years, accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Hyundai's Highway Driving Assist 1, blind-spot monitors, front and rear parking sensors, rear cross-traffic alert, forward-collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection and intersection assist, automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, a driver-attention monitor, safe-exit assist, adaptive cruise control, high-beam assist, and rear-occupant alert.
• Infotainment: a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen under a single piece of glass, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, built-in navigation, and a wireless smartphone charger on all but the base trim.
• Range & charging: 245 miles of range, a 63-kilowatt-hour battery pack, 10%–80% in 20 minutes, up to 250 kW, 150 kW, and 10%–100% in seven hours and 20 minutes.
• Battery health: check battery state-of-health, review how the car has been charged over time, and confirm the remaining battery warranty so you know how the pack has been used and what coverage still applies.

Which Hyundai IONIQ 5 trim should I buy?

The 2026 Hyundai IONIQ 5 offers these trims:

• SE Standard Range: the value-focused entry point, with the 168-hp rear-wheel-drive setup and the lowest starting price in the lineup.
• SE: adds the larger-battery rear-wheel-drive setup with 220 hp and is the best-value trim for many shoppers who want more range and everyday flexibility.
• SEL: builds on the SE with more equipment and sits in the middle of the lineup for buyers who want a richer feature set.
• Limited: adds the most upscale equipment in the mainstream lineup, including the head-up display and premium audio.
• XRT: adds the adventure-oriented look and hardware, including 18-inch all-terrain tires, seven inches of ground clearance, front tow hooks, and terrain modes for Mud, Sand, and Snow.

What Hyundai IONIQ 5 do most buyers choose?

The Hyundai IONIQ 5 years with the most listings are 2024, 2023, and 2025.

Higher-volume years usually attract more shoppers because they offer the broadest mix of availability, pricing, and trim choices. That makes them easier to compare side by side and often easier to shop for the right combination of features and value.

What is the Hyundai IONIQ 5's resale value?

The price movement is mixed, but the overall pattern leans favorable for used buyers because two of the three years are down year over year. One year is still edging up, which shows that demand remains healthy for some versions. The biggest drop is a double-digit move, so recent-model shoppers can find meaningful savings.

The 2023, 2022, and 2024 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Hyundai IONIQ 5 safe?

• 2022: 10/10

The 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 5 comes standard with Hyundai's Highway Driving Assist 1.
