| Model Year | Accident-Free % |
|---|---|
| 2026 | 90.7% |
| 2025 | 87.9% |
| 2024 | 86.1% |

| 2017 | 48.3% |
| 2016 | 43.6% |
| 2015 | 45.8% |
| 2014 | 48.7% |
Older model years carry meaningfully higher accident rates, so always verify the vehicle history report on pre-2023 models.
Key things to evaluate:
- Safety package: Honda Sensing on the 2023 Accord; blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are available on the EX trim with an option package.
- Infotainment: a standard 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster and 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity, wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, text-messaging support, and HondaLink connected services.
Which Honda Accord trim should I buy?
The 2023 Honda Accord offers these trims:
- LX: The entry trim uses the turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder and gives you the Accord’s core sedan formula at the lowest price point.
- EX: This trim adds an affordable option package with blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, plus an eight-speaker audio system and durable cloth seating; it stands out as the best-value choice for shoppers who want more equipment without moving up too far.
- Sport: From this trim up, hybrid power is standard, making it the first step into the Accord’s more efficient setup.
- Touring: This upper trim sits at the top of the lineup and is the natural pick if you want the most upscale Accord experience.
What Honda Accord do most buyers choose?
The Honda Accord years with the most listings are 2024, 2023, and 2019.
| Model Year | Total Listings | Good + Great Deals % |
|---|---|---|
| 2024 | 4,675 | 35.5% |
| 2023 | 4,440 | 34.7% |
| 2019 | 3,880 | 32.8% |
| 2018 | 3,827 | 31.8% |
| 2025 | 3,731 | 33.8% |
| 2017 | 3,430 | 31.6% |
These higher-volume years tend to be popular because they give you a broad mix of availability, pricing, and trim choices. When more listings are on the market, it is usually easier to find the combination of mileage, equipment, and condition that fits your budget.
What is the Honda Accord's resale value?
| Model Year | Current Avg. Price | Year-Over-Year Change |
|---|---|---|
| 2021 | $21,577 | −6.4% |
| 2020 | $20,121 | −6.4% |
| 2019 | $18,652 | −6.23% |
| 2017 | $15,306 | −4.74% |
| 2025 | $26,392 | −4.57% |
| 2022 | $24,130 | −4.44% |
| 2018 | $17,961 | −3.97% |
| 2024 | $25,176 | −3.5% |
| 2023 | $24,261 | −2.69% |
| 2014 | $11,880 | −1.58% |
| 2015 | $13,177 | −1.53% |
| 2016 | $14,414 | −1.47% |
Most Accord model years in this table are down year over year, which is good news if you are shopping used and want prices that have softened. The newer years show some of the larger declines, while the oldest years have changed the least. That pattern gives you a wide spread of value opportunities depending on how much you want to spend.
The 2016, 2015, and 2014 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Should I buy a used Honda Accord now or wait for the next model?
Buy now if:
- Price trend: The 2025 model is at −4.57% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −3.5%.
- Deal availability: The 2025 model has 33.8% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 35.5%.
- Sweet-spot year: The 2024 model has the most listings at a current average price of $25,176. The Honda Accord offers a roomy cabin, a comfortable ride, and a practical, easy-to-live-with character that make it a strong everyday sedan.
Consider waiting if:
- Powertrain/efficiency: Honda equips the 2023 Accord LX and EX with a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine making 192 horsepower and 192 pound-feet of torque, and the Accord LX and EX should return 32 mpg in combined driving.
- Tech: The Accord LX and EX include a standard 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity, wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, text-messaging support, and HondaLink connected services.
- Safety: Every 2023 Accord has Honda Sensing with adaptive cruise control with traffic-jam assist, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and lane-centering assist.
- Starting price: The 2023 Accord LX has a base price of $27,295, while the EX costs $29,060.
If you're buying used today, the 2024 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.

The car had two bullet holes. One on the passenger side and one on the hood. It also had water spots and apparent water damage inside as evidenced by the rust to the seat tracks and numerous water stains in the seats. This car should not have been on the lot for sale.

Classic. Reliable. A steal! I owned a 95 Accord V6 30 years with the Acura Legend engine and it was a jewel. This will be a great gas saver and trusty vehicle to get from work and church.

Why it stands out
The 2024 Honda Accord stands out for blending the Accord’s long-running strengths with a more modern, safety-focused setup. It comes from the generation described as refreshed and rejuvenated rather than radically reinvented, and Honda kept the exterior update conservative while giving the cabin a more refined feel with stylish metal dashboard trim and a touchscreen infotainment system. Standard Bluetooth connectivity, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto add everyday convenience, and Honda still includes physical buttons for radio and dual-zone climate controls, which should appeal to buyers who prefer straightforward operation.
Safety equipment is a major part of the 2024 Honda Accord’s appeal. Honda Sensing is standard, bringing adaptive cruise control with traffic-jam assist, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, road-departure mitigation, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and lane-centering assist. The car also includes a reverse camera with three different views, automatic high-beam headlights, traffic-sign recognition, and a driver-monitoring system. Rear seat vents are standard as well, reinforcing the Accord’s family-car mission.
The 2024 Honda Accord also offers a broad range of powertrain choices. Most Accord models come standard with Honda’s hybrid system, while the base LX and step-up EX trims use a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with a CVT. Pricing starts at $29,590 for the LX trim and $31,590 for the SE trim, with Accord Hybrid pricing starting at just below $34,000. As a result, the 2024 Accord remains appealing to buyers who want a practical sedan with strong technology and a long reputation for reliability, even if its styling is intentionally conservative.
