What should I look for when buying a used Honda Accord Hybrid?

Key things to evaluate:

• Fuel efficiency: The Accord Hybrid makes just 12 horsepower more than the regular Accord gets from its turbocharged 1.5-liter inline-four, but it's how the power is applied and felt that makes the hybrid's higher cost worth the difference. A 2.0-liter inline-four running on the lazier Atkinson cycle makes just 146 hp and 134 pound-feet of torque. Paired with two electric motors and a small battery, the powertrain can produce 204 hp and 247 lb-ft—a substantial torque increase over the gas model's 192 lb-ft. Fuel economy is exceptional, although the EPA estimates are on par with the Toyota Camry and Hyundai Sonata Hybrid. The best numbers are on the EX-L with the smallest 17-inch wheels and tires: 51 mpg city, 44 mpg highway, and 48 mpg combined. All other trims—which have 19-inch wheels and tires—are rated at 46 mpg city, 41 mpg highway, and 44 mpg combined.

Which Honda Accord Hybrid trim should I buy?

The 2026 Honda Accord Hybrid offers these trims:

• Sport: The base trim starts at $35,090 with destination and brings the standard 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Amazon Alexa connectivity, a wireless phone charger, HondaLink connected services, and a strong mix of standard safety features. It suits you if you want the entry point with the core Accord Hybrid experience.
• EX-L: This is the best-value trim because it adds more amenities while also delivering the highest fuel economy ratings thanks to its smaller 17-inch wheels and tires. It suits you if you want the most efficient version with a more upscale feel.
• Sport-L: This trim adds leather seating and black window trim and black badges on the trunk, giving the Accord Hybrid a more distinctive look and a richer cabin.
• Touring: The top trim adds a 12-speaker Bose stereo, Google built-in integration with maps and navigation, a head-up display, HD radio, rear automatic emergency braking, and front and rear parking sensors. It suits you if you want the most fully equipped Accord Hybrid.

What Honda Accord Hybrid do most buyers choose?

The Honda Accord Hybrid years with the most listings are 2024, 2025, and 2023.

Those higher-volume years tend to be popular because they combine broad availability with newer features and strong pricing. They also give you more choices across trims and condition levels, which makes it easier to find the right fit.

What is the Honda Accord Hybrid's resale value?

Most model years are moving down in price, which can work in your favor if you're shopping used. The declines are generally modest, with several recent years showing similar downward movement. One older model year is edging up, but the overall pattern still points to improving value for buyers.

The 2019, 2018, and 2017 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

• Sweet-spot year: The 2024 model has the most listings at a current average price of $28,315. The Honda Accord Hybrid offers a roomy cabin and a practical trunk that make it especially easy to live with every day.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: The latest model pairs a 2.0-liter inline-four with two electric motors for 204 hp and 247 lb-ft, and it returns 51 mpg city, 44 mpg highway, and 48 mpg combined on the EX-L.
