How much does the Honda Accord cost in today's market?

Used Honda Accord prices span a wide range depending on model year. Here's what the market looks like right now:

The Honda Accord's current nationwide average price is $18,901, and its lowest point over the past year was $17,826. Recently, prices have come down for the 2023, 2024, and 2025 models, making now a good time to shop recent model years.

Is the Honda Accord a good car?

Yes — the Honda Accord is a strong used-car choice if you want a roomy, comfortable sedan with a long-running reputation for reliability and everyday usability. The all-generations owner rating is 4.42/5 across every model year in the data.

Owners consistently praise the Accord for its spacious interior, smooth ride, and fuel efficiency. Across the years, the model also earns repeated praise for its comfortable cabin, strong safety reputation, and easy-to-live-with character.

Expert reviews rate the 2021 and 2014 models among the highest across all years.

The main trade-offs called out in expert reviews are pricing that can run high, some comfort-related issues, and the absence of all-wheel drive on the Accord lineup.

Are Honda Accord models reliable?

The Accord is repeatedly praised for reliability, comfort, and strong fuel economy, and owners often highlight its spacious cabin and smooth driving experience. Expert commentary also reinforces the Accord’s reputation for being easy to live with and well suited to daily use.

• Owners rate the Honda Accord between 3.5 and 5.0 out of 5 stars across all model years in the data.

What should I look for when buying a used Honda Accord?

Across all model years, at 62.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

Older model years carry meaningfully higher accident rates, so always verify the vehicle history report on pre-2023 models.

Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Honda Sensing on the 2023 Accord; blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are available on the EX trim with an option package.
• Infotainment: a standard 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster and 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity, wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, text-messaging support, and HondaLink connected services.

Which Honda Accord trim should I buy?

The 2023 Honda Accord offers these trims:

• LX: The entry trim uses the turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder and gives you the Accord’s core sedan formula at the lowest price point.
• EX: This trim adds an affordable option package with blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, plus an eight-speaker audio system and durable cloth seating; it stands out as the best-value choice for shoppers who want more equipment without moving up too far.
• Sport: From this trim up, hybrid power is standard, making it the first step into the Accord’s more efficient setup.
• Touring: This upper trim sits at the top of the lineup and is the natural pick if you want the most upscale Accord experience.

What Honda Accord do most buyers choose?

The Honda Accord years with the most listings are 2024, 2023, and 2019.

These higher-volume years tend to be popular because they give you a broad mix of availability, pricing, and trim choices. When more listings are on the market, it is usually easier to find the combination of mileage, equipment, and condition that fits your budget.

What is the Honda Accord's resale value?

Most Accord model years in this table are down year over year, which is good news if you are shopping used and want prices that have softened. The newer years show some of the larger declines, while the oldest years have changed the least. That pattern gives you a wide spread of value opportunities depending on how much you want to spend.

The 2016, 2015, and 2014 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Honda Accord safe?

• 2023: 9/10
• 2021: 9/10
• 2020: 8/10
• 2018: 8/10
• 2016: 5/10
• 2015: 7/10
• 2014: 9/10

For the safest used buy, the 2014, 2021 and 2023 models all post the highest confirmed score of 9/10.

Should I buy a used Honda Accord now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

• Price trend: The 2025 model is at −4.57% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −3.5%.
• Deal availability: The 2025 model has 33.8% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 35.5%.
• Sweet-spot year: The 2024 model has the most listings at a current average price of $25,176. The Honda Accord offers a roomy cabin, a comfortable ride, and a practical, easy-to-live-with character that make it a strong everyday sedan.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: Honda equips the 2023 Accord LX and EX with a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine making 192 horsepower and 192 pound-feet of torque, and the Accord LX and EX should return 32 mpg in combined driving.
• Tech: The Accord LX and EX include a standard 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity, wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, text-messaging support, and HondaLink connected services.
• Safety: Every 2023 Accord has Honda Sensing with adaptive cruise control with traffic-jam assist, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and lane-centering assist.
• Starting price: The 2023 Accord LX has a base price of $27,295, while the EX costs $29,060.

If you're buying used today, the 2024 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
