The first Sebring was introduced in 1995 as a replacement for the discontinued Lebaron model in Chrysler's midsize slot. The initial 1995 model was a coupe, and a convertible version followed in 1996. In 2001, Chrysler also applied the Sebring name to a new midsize sedan, filling the void left by the Cirrus.
The new sedan was built upon the same JR platform as the Cirrus, while the coupe's foundation was shared with the Mitsubishi Eclipse. The coupe vanished after the 2005 model year, and the convertible will not be available in 2007.
Significant changes this decade include a mid-generation styling refresh in 2004 and a complete redesign in 2007. The new Sebring shares the Mitsubishi GS platform, but its primary basis is the Airflite concept car. Many of the new styling details are similar to that of the Crossfire sport coupe.

I like the car. But I do not like the 2.7 engine. It is not a reliable engine.
I love this car, its my second Sebring. I miss the unconnect phone feature though
I have loved this car for a long time and it shows! Very good condition and still lots of fun to drive. I wish that I had gotten cruise control when I ordered it, as that would be very handy. I also wish that I had gotten automatic adjustment of the driver's seat, but didn't think it necessary at the time I ordered it.
My car is red like the picture above but the interior is sable, which is rare because this combination of colors (red/sable) was in limited quantity in Canada (I've heard...). I've put some style blankets on the back seat to improve the look of the interior, but everything is like it was in 2002, so no problems. This car was made for long rides, it needs to. However, my car mileage is low for the year.
I love everything about this car. I've owned a lot of cars but this is my favorite by far !! The power is adequate, the look is spectacular, the my gig is far above any other radio in its class. What more could you want ?
