Key things to evaluate:

• Infotainment: The 2026 Chevrolet Traverse comes standard with an 11-inch digital instrument cluster and a 17.7-inch infotainment touchscreen with Google built-in and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
• Fuel efficiency: FWD models are rated at 20 mpg city, 27 mpg highway, and 23 mpg combined, while AWD reduces them to 20/24/21 mpg.

Which Chevrolet Traverse trim should I buy?

The 2026 Chevrolet Traverse offers these trims:

• LT: The most affordable model and a strong value pick, with cloth upholstery, an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, tri-zone automatic climate control, and a hands-free power liftgate.
• Z71: The off-road-oriented trim adds red front tow hooks, knobby all-terrain tires, and standard AWD, making it the best fit if you want the most rugged setup.
• High Country: This luxury-focused trim adds a six-way power-adjustable front passenger seat, a power tilt/telescoping steering column, driver’s seat memory, leather upholstery, and heated rear seats.
• RS: This trim adds black exterior trim and sits at the top of the lineup for shoppers who want the sportiest appearance.

What Chevrolet Traverse do most buyers choose?

The Chevrolet Traverse years with the most listings are 2024, 2023, and 2022.

These higher-volume years tend to be popular because they combine broad availability with strong deal shares, giving you more chances to find the right trim, mileage, and price. They also sit in the sweet spot where newer features and used-market value often overlap.

What is the Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

Most Traverse model years are down by double digits year over year, which is good news if you’re shopping used. The biggest drops are concentrated in the newer and mid-cycle years, while the 2025 model is declining much more slowly than the rest. That pattern gives you more room to find value in the used market, especially if you’re open to a slightly older model year.

The 2025, 2023, and 2017 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Should I buy a used Chevrolet Traverse now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

• Price trend: The 2025 model is at −2.86% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −16.11%.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: The Traverse’s greatest advantage over the larger, heavier Tahoe is its road manners, and every Traverse is fitted with a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that makes 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque.
• Tech: The Traverse features an 11-inch digital instrument cluster and a 17.7-inch infotainment touchscreen with Google built-in and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
• Safety: The latest model adds GM’s Super Cruise hands-free driver-assistance technology, automatic parking, a driver-attention monitor, a surround-view camera system, rear pedestrian alert, traffic-sign recognition, and a rear-camera mirror.
• Starting price: The Traverse LT starts at $44,975 with AWD, and it’s $2,000 less with FWD.

If you're buying used today, the 2024 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
