What should I look for when buying a used Chevrolet Silverado EV?

Across all model years, accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Super Cruise, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, forward automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping and lane-centering assists, surround-view camera system, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, driver-attention monitoring, traffic-sign recognition, reverse automatic emergency braking, and reverse collision warning.
• Infotainment: standard Google Built-In with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus a 17-inch center infotainment touchscreen and 11-inch driver-information display.
• Range & charging: EPA estimates a 450-mile range, GM provided estimates of 440 miles, and Chevy estimates the Silverado EV should be able to add roughly 100 miles of range in 10 minutes via DC fast charging.
• Battery health: When you shop used, focus on battery state-of-health, how the truck has been charged over time, and whether home charging or frequent DC fast charging was the norm. It also helps to confirm the remaining battery warranty and review charging records if they’re available.

Which Chevrolet Silverado EV trim should I buy?

The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV offers these trims:

• 3WT: The Work Truck trim is the entry point and suits fleet-focused buyers who want the Silverado EV’s core electric-truck capability.
• 4WT: This trim adds the strongest value case in the lineup, pairing the Work Truck setup with the range and standard equipment that make it the most practical choice for many shoppers.
• RST First Edition: This is the most upscale version in the 2024 lineup, adding the consumer-oriented feel, the light bar, 24-inch wheel availability, and the more premium cabin presentation.

What Chevrolet Silverado EV do most buyers choose?

The Chevrolet Silverado EV years with the most listings are 2025, 2026, and 2024.

Those higher-volume years tend to draw more shoppers because they usually give you more inventory to compare, which can make it easier to find the right price and equipment mix. More listings also often mean more chances to find a clean example with the features you want.

What is the Chevrolet Silverado EV's resale value?

The price movement shown here points to a sharp drop, which can work in your favor if you’re shopping used. A double-digit decline like this can create a better entry point for buyers who want a newer model year without paying near-original pricing. The 2024 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Buy now if:

• Price trend: The 2024 model is at −10.33% versus a year ago.
• Deal availability: The 2024 model has 26.6% good and great deals.
• Sweet-spot year: The 2025 model has the most listings. The Chevrolet Silverado EV offers a refined ride and a polished, high-tech cabin that make it feel more upscale than a typical pickup.

Consider waiting if:

• Range & charging: The Silverado EV should be able to add roughly 100 miles of range in 10 minutes via DC fast charging, and the EPA estimates a 450-mile range for the Silverado EV 4WT.
• Tech: Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and Google Built-In is standard too.
• Safety: Super Cruise is trailering-capable, and the latest model also adds driver-attention monitoring, traffic-sign recognition, reverse automatic emergency braking, and reverse collision warning.
• Starting price: The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV we drove was priced at $94,500 before destination.

If you're buying used today, the 2025 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
