Avg. Dealer Rating: (42 reviews) " The truck is for my son that was arriving back in town within a day or two. I viewed the truck before he arrived to save time. The truck APPEARED super nice, cleaned up, everything a 23yr would want. Upon arriving at the lot, I had lots of questions regarding the condition of the truck, had the lot inspected it, looked it over, etc and was surprised that the sales people knew or claimed to know pretty much nothing about the truck. I was advised to take it to a reputable mechanic to have it inspected before purchase because trucks were sold "as is" , no warranty. I was very pleased with this option, would not have purchased it without doing so. My son had arrived and The truck inspection went perfect, around $350 to clean up and change a few things and the truck did qualify for Ford Warranty which was icing on the cake. The only issue I had was with the finalizing of the paperwork. I was there long enough to tell them NO to GAP insurance. My son had driven back in town from a long assignment, working over night and was pretty much a zombie by the end of the day. Financing was done, all went well until he came home and I looked over the paperwork and saw 2 $400 additional items added to his financing. One was $400 for "windshield" coverage and another $400 was something to do with "theft" coverage. I asked him why he agreed to those. His comment was "I was asked if I was interested in these options but at no time do I recall her telling me it was going to be an additional $800" . So, I can believe that the $800 was not pointed out because if it would have been, he would have called me to inquire if this was necessary. (first solo truck purchase and finance on his own). Therefore, I think this was purposely added for the dealership benefit. Yes, it is on the paper where he initialed but I seriously doubt it was pointed out while saying "initial here"! so, with that said, at first I was a bit upset, felt it was purposely "SLIPPED" in but he has a nice truck with warranty. No use in fussing over a refund, it was financed in so gonna pay for those two charges regardless. Going to look at it as a sign from God, hopefully not going to need them but may be thankful for the additional coverage if something does happen. (Full coverage insurance takes care of those items) so buyers beware, look closely at all paperwork and what you are initialing.!"
