Used Acura MDX for Sale nearWalled Lake, MI

How much does the Acura MDX cost in today's market?

Used Acura MDX prices span a wide range depending on model year. Here's what the market looks like right now:

The Acura MDX's current nationwide average price is $33,109, and its nationwide average price reached a low of $28,628 over the past year. Recently, prices have come down for the 2023, 2024, and 2025 models, making now a good time to shop recent model years.

Is the Acura MDX a good car?

Yes — the Acura MDX is a strong used pick if you want a three-row luxury SUV that blends comfort, practicality, and a polished driving feel. The all-generations owner rating is 4.57/5 across every model year in the data.

Owners consistently praise the MDX for its spacious cabin, smooth ride, and family-friendly usefulness. Across the model years, the most common themes are comfort, reliability, and a well-rounded mix of luxury and everyday usability.

Expert reviews rate the 2022 and 2019 models among the highest across all years.

The main tradeoffs that show up in expert reviews are a cramped third row, poor fuel economy, and infotainment systems that were less intuitive before the latest update. Those are worth weighing if you plan to use all three rows often or want the newest-feeling tech experience.

36.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Are Acura MDX models reliable?

Owners consistently describe the MDX as comfortable, practical, and dependable, with strong praise for its ride quality, spaciousness, and safety features. Expert coverage also reinforces that reputation by highlighting the MDX’s solid construction, refined driving manners, and long-running appeal as a family-friendly luxury SUV.

• Owners rate the Acura MDX between 3.5 and 5.0 out of 5 stars across all model years in the data.

For used buyers, the long-term ownership picture looks encouraging, especially if you choose a well-kept example with a clean history and service records.

What should I look for when buying a used Acura MDX?

Across all model years, accident-free inventory is solid at 78.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

Older model years carry meaningfully higher accident rates, so always verify the vehicle history report on pre-2022 models.

Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: AcuraWatch
• Infotainment: a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Amazon Alexa Built-in and Google Built-in, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto
• Fuel efficiency: While the official EPA fuel economy estimate is 21 mpg combined, we observed 17.9 mpg on our SoCal evaluation loop. Prior to that, over 160 miles of driving, the MDX averaged 19.2 mpg, including a 100-mile round-trip to Pasadena on free-flowing freeways.

Which Acura MDX trim should I buy?

The 2026 Acura MDX offers these trims:

• MDX: The entry model starts the lineup with the core MDX formula and is the best-value choice if you want the model’s main strengths without moving up the range.
• Technology: Adds the Technology Package, which brings a step up in equipment and is a smart pick if you want more convenience and tech.
• A-Spec: Adds blacked-out wheels and exterior trim, subtle styling changes, and bolder interior treatments with leather and artificial suede.
• Advance: Adds a more upscale equipment set for buyers who want a richer luxury feel.
• A-Spec Advance: Combines the A-Spec styling treatment with the Advance equipment, making it the most appealing all-around choice for shoppers who want style and content together.
• Type S Advance: Adds the more powerful turbocharged engine and other performance upgrades for buyers who want the strongest MDX experience.

What Acura MDX do most buyers choose?

The Acura MDX years with the most listings are 2025, 2024, and 2023.

These higher-volume years tend to be popular because they give you the broadest mix of availability, pricing, and deal opportunities. They also sit close enough to the current model to deliver newer features while still offering used-car value.

What is the Acura MDX's resale value?

Most MDX model years are down year over year, which creates better opportunities for used buyers across the lineup. The newer models show the steepest drops, while older examples generally move down more gradually. That pattern suggests you can find stronger value in recent used MDX listings without giving up the core strengths that define the model.

The 2016, 2018, and 2014 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: Most MDX models have a 3.5-liter V6 engine under their hoods. It generates 290 horsepower and 267 pound-feet of torque, and pairs with a 10-speed automatic transmission and Acura’s Integrated Dynamics System driving modes, including Snow, Comfort, Normal, and Sport.
• Tech: A 12.3-inch digital instrumentation display pairs with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a 10.5-inch head-up display is also available.
• Safety: Acura bundles most of the MDX’s driver aids into a package called AcuraWatch.
• Starting price: Prices range from $53,150 to $77,200, including the $1,350 destination charge.

If you're buying used today, the 2025 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
