Used Acura MDX for Sale nearCrestone, CO

How much does the Acura MDX cost in today's market?

Used Acura MDX prices span a wide range depending on model year. Here's what the market looks like right now:

The Acura MDX's current nationwide average price is $32,983, and its lowest point over the past year was $28,607. Recently, prices have come down for the 2023, 2024, and 2025 models, making now a good time to shop recent model years.

Is the Acura MDX a good car?

Yes — the Acura MDX is a strong used buy if you want a three-row luxury SUV that blends comfort, practicality, and a sportier personality.

The all-generations owner rating is 4.57/5 across every model year in the data.

Owners consistently praise the MDX for its spacious cabin, smooth ride, and comfortable, family-friendly character. They also frequently highlight its reliability, strong performance, and upscale feel, along with the way it balances luxury with everyday usefulness.

Expert reviews rate the 2022 and 2019 models among the highest across all years.

The main trade-offs center on the third row, which is cramped, plus infotainment systems that can be frustrating to use on several model years. Fuel economy also comes up often as a downside, especially on versions focused on V6 power and performance.

35.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Are Acura MDX models reliable?

Owners consistently describe the MDX as comfortable, practical, and well built, with a strong reputation for quality across the lineup. Expert coverage also points to a solid blend of refinement, safety, and everyday usability that helps the MDX age well.

• Owners rate the Acura MDX between 3.5 and 5.0 out of 5 stars across all model years in the data.

For used buyers, long-term ownership risk is generally manageable, especially if you focus on well-kept examples with clean history reports and a strong maintenance record.

What should I look for when buying a used Acura MDX?

Across all model years, accident-free inventory is solid at 78.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

Older model years carry meaningfully higher accident rates, so always verify the vehicle history report on pre-2022 models.

Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: AcuraWatch
• Infotainment: a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto
• Fuel efficiency: While the official EPA fuel economy estimate is 21 mpg combined, we observed 17.9 mpg on our SoCal evaluation loop. Prior to that, over 160 miles of driving, the MDX averaged 19.2 mpg, including a 100-mile round-trip to Pasadena on free-flowing freeways.

Which Acura MDX trim should I buy?

The 2026 Acura MDX offers these trims:

• MDX: The base model gives you the core MDX package, and it’s the entry point if you want the model’s comfort, technology, and family-friendly layout at the lowest price.
• Technology: This trim adds more equipment and is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it builds on the base MDX with a richer feature set.
• A-Spec: This version adds blacked-out wheels and exterior trim, subtle styling changes, and bolder interior treatments with leather and artificial suede.
• Advance: This trim moves up with more upscale equipment and comfort-focused upgrades.
• A-Spec Advance: This combines the A-Spec styling treatment with Advance-level equipment, making it the most distinctive all-around choice if you want style and content together.
• Type S Advance: This is the performance-focused choice, adding the more powerful turbocharged engine along with other upgrades for improved performance.

What Acura MDX do most buyers choose?

The Acura MDX years with the most listings are 2025, 2024, and 2023.

These higher-volume years tend to be popular because they offer a strong mix of newer features, broad availability, and pricing that still sits below brand-new inventory. That combination gives you more choices while keeping the MDX’s core luxury-SUV appeal intact.

What is the Acura MDX's resale value?

Most MDX model years are showing declines year over year, which can work in your favor if you’re shopping used. The biggest drops are concentrated in newer models, while older years are falling more slowly. That pattern suggests you may find stronger value in recent used examples, especially if you want newer features without paying new-car pricing.

The 2016, 2018, and 2014 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Should I buy a used Acura MDX now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

• Price trend: The 2025 model is at −9.78% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −10.09%.
• Deal availability: The 2025 model has 38.3% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 38.4%.
• Sweet-spot year: The 2025 model has the most listings at a current average price of $48,076. The Acura MDX offers a comfortable cabin, strong family usefulness, and a polished overall character that make it easy to live with every day.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: Most MDX models have a 3.5-liter V6 engine under their hoods. It generates 290 horsepower and 267 pound-feet of torque, and pairs with a 10-speed automatic transmission and Acura’s Integrated Dynamics System driving modes, including Snow, Comfort, Normal, and Sport.
• Tech: A 12.3-inch digital instrumentation display pairs with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and it offers wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and wireless smartphone charging.
• Safety: Acura bundles most of the MDX’s driver aids into a package called AcuraWatch, and the more expensive variants offer a surround-view camera system.
• Starting price: Prices range from $53,150 to $77,200, including the $1,350 destination charge.

If you're buying used today, the 2025 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
