New & Used 2027 BMW 7 Series for Sale nearDesert Hot Springs, CA

Is the 2027 BMW 7 Series a good car?

The 2027 BMW 7 Series earns a 7.7/10 expert rating, and it’s BMW’s flagship luxury sedan for shoppers who want a tech-forward cabin and a more engaging driving feel than many rivals. The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Technology.

It brings a redesigned front end, updated lighting, and a thoroughly reworked interior with a panoramic display setup, plus available rear-seat theater tech and a Dolby Atmos audio system. The trade-offs are that the design can be polarizing, the feature set can feel overwhelming, and there’s only one gas powertrain available for now.

For used-car shoppers, that mix makes it especially appealing if you want a luxury sedan that feels modern and unusually driver-focused. Good and great deals account for 33.1% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2027 BMW 7 Series reliable?

The 2027 BMW 7 Series is presented as a highly engineered flagship with a mild-hybrid inline-six, a well-cushioned ride, and a cabin built around BMW’s latest software and driver-assistance systems. The performance setup is straightforward for the gas model, and the update focuses more on refinement and technology than on mechanical complexity.

BMW’s new Symbiotic Drive software is designed to keep driver aids working in the background with minimal unnecessary warnings or interventions, which is a good sign for day-to-day usability. The available Driving Assistance Professional Package also adds hands-free Highway Assistant, and BMW says the system can even be prompted for lane changes by glancing at a mirror.

If you’re buying used, the main long-term ownership risk is the usual one for a highly optioned flagship: complexity. The more tech and convenience equipment a car has, the more carefully you should verify that everything works as intended.

What should I look for when buying a used 2027 BMW 7 Series?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially on a car with this much technology and available equipment. Focus on whether the cabin electronics, driver-assistance features, and comfort systems all operate correctly, and pay close attention to signs of heavy use on a luxury sedan that may have been optioned extensively.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The standard car already includes a lot of luxury content, but the available M Sport Package and M Sport Package Professional add sportier exterior treatment, larger wheels, and M-specific interior elements. The base look is more restrained, while higher-spec versions lean harder into appearance and equipment.
• Powertrain: The gas lineup uses a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six with 394 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic and mild-hybrid assistance. Rear-wheel drive and xDrive all-wheel drive are both offered.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitors, adaptive cruise control, and the Parking Assistance Package with a surround-view camera system, parking sensors, a semi-automated parking system, and Maneuver Assistant. The available Driving Assistance Professional Package adds hands-free Highway Assistant.
• Infotainment: The cabin uses a 17.9-inch central touchscreen and a 14.6-inch passenger screen, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus BMW’s latest Operating System X and AI-augmented voice recognition.
• Fuel efficiency: EPA ratings are 26 mpg combined for both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive versions, with 24 mpg city and 30 mpg highway.

Which 2027 BMW 7 Series trim should I buy?

The 2027 BMW 7 Series is offered in 2 trim levels: 740 and 740 xDrive.

Here’s the short version:

• 740: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the full flagship experience with the turbocharged inline-six, the updated tech-heavy cabin, and the core luxury features. It’s the better-value choice if you want the 7 Series experience without paying extra for all-wheel drive.
• 740 xDrive: This is the one to choose if you want the added traction of all-wheel drive and the more complete all-weather setup. It’s the better pick for buyers who want the most balanced version of the lineup and don’t mind paying more for it.

The standard safety package already includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitors, adaptive cruise control, and the Parking Assistance Package.

Is the 2027 BMW 7 Series safe?

The 2027 BMW 7 Series does not have crash-test ratings listed here from IIHS or NHTSA.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard driver-assistance features include forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitors, and adaptive cruise control. BMW’s new Symbiotic Drive software is designed to make those systems feel less intrusive in normal driving, and the standard Parking Assistance Package adds a surround-view camera system, parking sensors, a semi-automated parking system, and Maneuver Assistant.

The available Driving Assistance Professional Package adds hands-free Highway Assistant, but it requires the driver-attention monitor to stay engaged and looking forward.

Should I buy a 2027 BMW 7 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2027 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2027 if:

• 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• The updated 7 Series adds a more thorough exterior refresh, a new panoramic display setup, and a more modern infotainment experience while keeping the model’s strong handling and luxury focus.

The bottom line: If you want the newest 7 Series with the most advanced cabin tech and a sharper overall presentation, the 2027 is the one to target. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still deliver the core flagship experience with less money tied up in the latest update.
