Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2026 Volvo XC90, and it fits well if you want a luxury midsize SUV with three rows, a premium interior, and a family-friendly layout. The XC90’s appeal comes from its elegant Scandinavian design, advanced technology, and practical cabin space, including good second-row room and a third row that Volvo says can comfortably fit passengers up to 5'7" tall. It also brings a polished feel with top-quality materials, a vertical touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and upscale touches like an available crystal gear shifter. 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Volvo XC90 reliable?

The XC90’s reliability case is supported by its safety-focused design, standard driver-assistance features, and a cabin built with premium materials and a straightforward layout. Its strengths are especially clear if you value comfort, technology, and a refined ownership experience over sporty simplicity. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that maintenance costs can be higher than average.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Volvo XC90?

Should I buy a 2026 Volvo XC90 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2025 if:

• It received a substantial refresh that improved styling, materials, and ride comfort.

The bottom line: If you want the most current version of the XC90’s luxury, safety, and family-friendly packaging, the 2026 is the primary path to consider. If your priority is stretching your budget, the 2025 is the better secondary path because it delivers much of the same core appeal with a refreshed setup that may be easier to price-shop.
