New & Used 2026 Hyundai IONIQ 5 for Sale nearFort Collins, CO

Is the 2026 Hyundai IONIQ 5 a good car?

The 2026 Hyundai IONIQ 5 earns an 8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Cost effectiveness and Safety.

It remains one of the best EVs around because Hyundai got the basics right from the start: stylish looks, fast charging capability, good range, practicality, and easy-to-use technology. That makes it especially appealing if you want an electric crossover that feels thoughtfully executed rather than experimental. The main trade-off is cargo space, which is less generous than what gasoline crossovers offer. With 25.4% of listings priced as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2026 Hyundai IONIQ 5 reliable?

The 2026 Hyundai IONIQ 5 comes across as a well-sorted EV that avoided the launch problems that have hurt some rivals. Hyundai got it right from the start, and the model’s strong fundamentals still show through in its build, charging, and day-to-day usability. Its performance is described as quiet and easy, with robust power from a stop, and the high-voltage electrical architecture is advanced enough to give it a charging-speed advantage over several rivals.

Hyundai also includes a useful ownership perk: the first scheduled maintenance visit is on the house. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is the usual EV diligence—making sure the battery and charging system have been cared for properly over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Hyundai IONIQ 5?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 98.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one that has seen frequent fast charging. Focus on overall condition, charging behavior, and whether the car has been used in a way that matches your needs. For an EV, battery health matters as much as cosmetic condition, so you want to understand how the car has been charged and whether it still behaves normally.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base SE Standard Range is the efficiency leader, but it also has the smallest battery and the least range. Higher trims add more equipment, and the Limited brings the most upscale-feeling tech, while the XRT adds a more purposeful, adventure-ready setup with unique exterior treatment and extra ground clearance. The base trim also misses some of the nicer convenience touches found higher up.
• Powertrain: You can get a single-motor rear-wheel-drive setup or a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup. The single-motor version is the efficiency play, while the dual-motor setup adds more power and traction. The performance-oriented N model uses its own dual-motor setup with much higher output.
• Safety package: Standard safety equipment includes blind-spot monitors, front and rear parking sensors, rear cross-traffic alert, forward-collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection and intersection assist, automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, a driver-attention monitor, safe-exit assist, adaptive cruise control, high-beam assist, rear-occupant alert, and Highway Driving Assist 1. Higher trims or options add features such as a surround-view camera system, blind-spot cameras, side parking sensors, brake support for the parking sensors, evasive steering assist, and Highway Driving Assist 2.
• Infotainment: The cabin uses twin 12.3-inch screens, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, built-in navigation, and over-the-air-style connected features through the app ecosystem. The base audio system has six speakers, while higher trims get a Bose eight-speaker setup.
• Range & charging: The SE Standard Range uses a 63-kWh battery and has 245 miles of range. Other rear-wheel-drive models use an 84-kWh battery and reach up to 318 miles of range. Dual-motor versions drop to 290 miles with 19-inch wheels and 268 miles with 20s, while the XRT is rated at 259 miles. DC fast charging can take the battery from 10% to 80% in 20 minutes at up to 250 kW, or about 30 minutes on Tesla Superchargers with the standard adapter. Home charging from 10% to 100% takes seven hours and 20 minutes on a Level 2 charger.
• Battery health: Check the battery state of health, confirm that charging speeds still look normal, and ask how often the car has been DC fast charged versus charged at home. You also want to understand how much of the battery warranty remains, since that can matter a lot on a used EV.

Which 2026 Hyundai IONIQ 5 trim should I buy?

The 2026 Hyundai IONIQ 5 is offered in 6 trim levels: SE Standard Range, SE, SEL, Limited, XRT, and N.

Here's the short version:

• SE Standard Range: This is the value and efficiency play, but it comes with the smallest battery and the shortest range. It makes sense if you want the lowest entry price and can live with fewer miles between charges.
• SE: This is the best-value choice for most shoppers because it keeps the core IONIQ 5 experience intact while adding the larger battery and stronger range. It’s the trim to start with if you want the model’s main strengths without paying for extras you may not need.
• SEL: This trim is for buyers who want more comfort and convenience equipment without jumping all the way to the top end. It’s a sensible middle step if you want a richer daily experience.
• Limited: This is the most upscale mainstream trim, with the strongest mix of comfort and tech features. If you want the most polished version of the standard IONIQ 5, this is the one to target.
• XRT: This is the adventure-oriented choice, with unique styling, extra ground clearance, all-terrain tires, and terrain modes. It suits you if you want the IONIQ 5 with a more rugged personality.
• N: This is the high-performance model, and it stands apart from the rest of the lineup with its own much more powerful dual-motor setup. It’s the one to buy if outright performance is your priority.

The safety package is strong across the lineup, but some of the more advanced driver-assistance features are reserved for higher trims or options.
