Yes — the 2026 Genesis GV70 earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.2/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Technology, and Safety.

It also comes with standard all-wheel drive, which fits its compact luxury SUV mission well.

The main trade-offs are its poor ergonomic design and the lack of a hybrid option. Even so, it remains near the head of its class and is aimed at buyers who want a stylish, well-equipped luxury crossover.

The powertrain lineup is straightforward, with standard all-wheel drive and no hybrid complexity in the gas model, which can help keep ownership simpler. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that you’ll want to verify how well the advanced electronics, cameras, and driver-assistance features have held up over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Genesis GV70?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a luxury SUV with a lot of technology and driver-assistance hardware. Focus on the condition of the cabin electronics, display, cameras, and any features tied to the refreshed software. If you’re comparing trims, make sure the equipment on the specific listing matches what you expect from that version.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The standard car emphasizes refined styling and a luxurious cabin, while Sport models add darker exterior trim, unique wheel options, and more aggressive interior accents. Base-trim shoppers should pay close attention to feature gaps versus the better-equipped versions.
• Powertrain: The base 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder makes 300 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque, while the optional 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 makes 375 hp and 391 lb-ft of torque. All-wheel drive is standard across the lineup.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Following Assist, Driver Attention Warning, Blind-Spot Collision Avoidance-Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Avoidance-Assist, Front and Rear Parking Distance Warning, Safe Exit Assist, Rear Occupant Alert and Forward Attention Warning. The 2.5T Advanced and 3.5T Sport Prestige add Front, Rear and Side Parking Distance Warning plus Rear Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist.
• Infotainment: The cabin centers on a 27-inch OLED display, and the system includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, OTA updates, a 360-degree Surround View Monitor, and customizable digital gauges.
• Fuel efficiency: Base-trim estimates are 20 mpg city and 28 mpg highway, while the 2.5T Sport Prestige drops to 26 mpg highway. The larger engine is rated at 18 mpg city and 25 mpg highway.

Which 2026 Genesis GV70 trim should I buy?

The 2026 Genesis GV70 is offered in 6 trim levels: 2.5T, 2.5T Select, 2.5T Advanced, 2.5T Sport Prestige, 3.5T Sport Advanced, 3.5T Sport Prestige.

Here's the short version:

• 2.5T: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core GV70 experience with standard all-wheel drive, the 300-hp turbocharged four-cylinder, and the refreshed tech and safety package. It makes sense if you want the GV70’s style and fundamentals at the lowest price.
• 2.5T Select: This trim adds a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging and upgraded aluminum trim, making it a stronger value if you want a more premium feel without jumping too far up the price ladder.
• 2.5T Advanced: This is the best-value trim in the lineup because it adds an excellent Bang & Olufsen audio system, ventilated seats, a 360-degree camera and leather seating surfaces. It’s the sweet spot if you want a more complete luxury experience.
• 2.5T Sport Prestige: This trim brings the most fully loaded version of the four-cylinder model, with all the features and a more upscale presentation. Choose it if you want the highest equipment level without moving to the V6.
• 3.5T Sport Advanced: This is the step-up choice for buyers who want the stronger 375-hp V6 and the added performance character that comes with it. It suits you if power matters more than value.
• 3.5T Sport Prestige: This is the top trim, pairing the V6 with the most complete feature set and the most luxurious execution. It’s the one to buy if you want the most powerful and most richly equipped GV70.

The 2.5T Advanced stands out as the best balance of equipment and value, while the Sport Prestige trims make the most sense if you want the fullest feature set. Safety equipment is broad across the lineup, with additional parking-assist features on the 2.5T Advanced and 3.5T Sport Prestige.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 Genesis GV70?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,504 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.99% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 95.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $51,545, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2026 Genesis GV70's resale value?

The current average of $52,935 sits slightly below last year's $54,012.

That softer pricing suggests the GV70 has already moved a bit in buyers’ favor, which can help future sellers if they bought at the right price. If the market stays steady, a well-kept example with desirable equipment should remain easier to move than a neglected one.

Strong demand for this model also helps support resale, especially because it remains Genesis’ most popular model. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2026 Genesis GV70 safe?

The 2026 Genesis GV70 has not yet been crash-tested, but the 2025 Genesis GV70 was rated a Top Safety Pick+ by IIHS and earned five-star ratings from NHTSA.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

The GV70’s standard safety suite includes Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Following Assist, Driver Attention Warning, Blind-Spot Collision Avoidance-Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Avoidance-Assist, Front and Rear Parking Distance Warning, Safe Exit Assist, Rear Occupant Alert and Forward Attention Warning. Genesis’ Highway Driving Assist also uses capacitive sensors to detect your hands on the steering wheel.

A caveat to keep in mind is that the system can allow a bit of side-to-side movement within the lane while Highway Driving Assist is active. Even so, the overall package is extensive and should be a major strength for used buyers.

Should I buy a 2026 Genesis GV70 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.99% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The refreshed model adds a very wide OLED display and a comprehensive software upgrade for technology and safety.

The bottom line: Choose the 2026 if you want the freshest GV70 with the updated cabin tech, strong safety equipment and a market that still offers some negotiating room. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may deliver much of the same core appeal at a lower entry cost, but the 2026 is the better pick if the updated display and software matter to you.
