The 2025 Volvo XC60 stands out as a premium compact crossover that blends safety, efficiency, and a clean Scandinavian design. It is a five-passenger SUV with a luxury-oriented cabin and a straightforward, modern look that some buyers will see as timeless rather than flashy.

For you, that means the XC60 makes the most sense if you want a compact luxury SUV with a strong identity, standard safety tech, and an upscale presentation without chasing a flashy design. The model’s mix of fuel-efficient four-cylinder powertrains, including a plug-in hybrid, also supports shoppers who value efficiency alongside premium features.

37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there is meaningful room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Volvo XC60 reliable?

The 2025 Volvo XC60 stands out as a premium compact crossover that blends safety, efficiency, and a clean Scandinavian design. Volvo’s long-running emphasis on safety is a major part of its appeal, and the XC60 has built a reputation around standard safety tech and strong safety ratings.

For used-car shoppers, that safety-focused reputation is a plus, but you should still think about long-term ownership risk in the usual way: verify maintenance history, confirm the vehicle has been cared for consistently, and pay close attention to how the powertrain and electronics behave on a test drive.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Volvo XC60?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are comparing multiple listings. Focus on overall condition, service records, and whether the drivetrain, brakes, and cabin electronics feel smooth and well maintained during a test drive.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Volvo XC60?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,611 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.07% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 94.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $38,057, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Volvo XC60's resale value?

The current average of $42,463 sits slightly below last year's $42,923.

That modest decline suggests the XC60 is holding value reasonably well, but not aggressively appreciating. For you as a future seller, that means depreciation is present but not extreme, especially if you buy at a competitive price and keep the vehicle in strong condition.

Because the current average is still close to the prior-year figure, a well-kept XC60 should remain relatively marketable when it is time to sell. Strong condition, clean history, and desirable equipment will matter more if you want to protect resale value.

Should I buy a 2025 Volvo XC60 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.07% compared with last year.

Consider the 2026 if:

• New Car UX infotainment with a larger 11.2-inch touchscreen and Google Gemini integration.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2025 is the stronger starting point because pricing has eased and inventory is broad enough to shop selectively. If you care more about the newest cabin tech and can stretch for it, the 2026 is the better secondary path.
