Why it stands out

The 2025 Volkswagen ID.Buzz stands out immediately as an electric van that finally arrives in the United States with a strong dose of nostalgia. Volkswagen positions it as a halo vehicle, and its styling is the kind that draws attention fast: during test driving, it attracted stares, questions, and plenty of photographs from onlookers. That visual appeal is a major part of its identity, and it helps the ID.Buzz feel less like a conventional van and more like a modern reinterpretation of a beloved icon.

Beyond the design, the 2025 Volkswagen ID.Buzz also has a practical side that should appeal to buyers who want space for passengers. The test-drive data highlights excellent passenger space, which gives the van substance behind the style. At the same time, it is not without compromises. The driving dynamics are described as a bit funny, with peculiar steering feel and a bouncy ride, and its short electric driving range and high price tag are expected to temper long-term sales success. Even so, for shoppers drawn to its distinctive look and roomy cabin, the ID.Buzz makes a memorable case for itself.
