How much does the 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 1,111 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.83/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Technology.

It is aimed at you if you want a two-row midsize SUV that can travel almost anywhere, with a stylish design and impressive off-roading ability. The trade-offs are clear: poor fuel economy, poor handling, and an uncomfortable back seat.

The market also looks reasonably supportive, with 35.1% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Land Cruiser is presented as a rugged, body-on-frame SUV with a turbocharged hybrid powertrain and serious off-road hardware, which points to a durable, purpose-built design. Its standard four-wheel-drive system, locking differentials, and crawl-focused equipment reinforce that it is engineered for demanding use rather than soft-road duty.

Toyota also includes two years or 25,000 miles of complimentary scheduled service, which helps reduce early ownership costs. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a vehicle built for capability can still be expensive to live with if fuel use and wear items matter to you.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the SUV has seen trail use or heavy towing. Focus on tire wear, suspension condition, and signs of underbody damage, since this model is built for off-road use and can be driven hard.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base 1958 trim has a retro look, cloth seats, basic equipment, and fewer colors, while the Land Cruiser trim adds a more modern, upscale appearance, larger screens, more colors, and critical off-roading hardware and software.
• Powertrain: Every Land Cruiser uses Toyota’s i-Force Max hybrid system with a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, an electric motor, and an eight-speed automatic transmission. It is tuned more for power than efficiency, and the real-world fuel economy was notably weak.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian, cyclist, and motorcyclist detection, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, road sign reader, automatic high beams, and Predictive Driving Assist. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are separate, and the Premium Package adds front cross-traffic alert, lane-change assist, and Traffic Jam Assist.
• Infotainment: The Land Cruiser trim upgrades to dual 12.3-inch displays and adds wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, SiriusXM, connected services, cloud navigation, and a conversational digital assistant.
• Fuel efficiency: The official EPA rating is 23 mpg combined, but the test vehicle returned 15.7 mpg in real-world driving.

Which 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser trim should I buy?

The 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser is offered in 2 trim levels: 1958 and Land Cruiser.

Here's the short version:

• 1958: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Land Cruiser’s core capability at the lowest price. You get the retro styling, cloth seats, basic equipment, and the same standard off-road foundation, but you give up the nicer cabin, larger screens, and extra hardware that make the higher trim feel more complete.
• Land Cruiser: This is the best-value trim if you want the version that feels most like the full Land Cruiser experience. It adds the more modern and upscale look, larger dual 12.3-inch displays, more colors, a nicer interior, and extra off-road equipment such as Multi-Terrain Select, Multi-Terrain Monitor, and a front stabilizer bar disconnect.

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard on both trims, and the Premium Package adds more safety and convenience tech.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and enough deal activity to make comparison shopping worthwhile.

• Deal availability: 35.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,111 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 96.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $62,016, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser's resale value?

The current average of $62,158 sits slightly below last year's $62,471.

That small decline suggests the market has been relatively stable rather than volatile. For a future seller, that can be a good sign because it points to predictable pricing instead of a sharp drop in value.

The Land Cruiser’s premium positioning and strong buyer interest in capability-focused SUVs should help support demand. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser safe?

The 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser earns four-star ratings in frontal crash and rollover, and five-star ratings in all other NHTSA tests.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard, and it includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian, cyclist, and motorcyclist detection, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, road sign reader, automatic high beams, and Predictive Driving Assist. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are separate from the main suite, and the Premium Package adds front cross-traffic alert, lane-change assist, and Traffic Jam Assist.

The main caveat is that the lane-centering and adaptive cruise systems did not always behave smoothly in testing, so you should evaluate them carefully on your own test drive.

Should I buy a 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 35.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the same rugged two-row formula, strong off-road hardware, and easy-to-use technology.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $59,980, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $62,158 average.
• It returned as an all-new model with retro styling and strong off-road capability.

The bottom line: If you want the current-year Land Cruiser and are comfortable paying a bit more for a stable market and strong inventory, the 2025 is the cleaner choice. If price matters more than having the latest model year, the 2024 is the better value path because it delivers the same core appeal for less.
