How much does the 2025 Toyota Highlander cost?

There are 1,818 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2025 Toyota Highlander a good car?

The 2025 Toyota Highlander stands out as a practical, comfort-focused midsize SUV rather than a flashy one. Toyota’s formula emphasizes a smooth ride, quiet refinement, and everyday usability, and the Highlander is built to be easy to live with.

It also brings useful modern equipment such as an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Amazon Alexa, and Toyota Safety Sense. Cargo space is a major strength too, with up to 84.3 cubic feet available when the seats are folded, and the hybrid can deliver 35 mpg combined for shoppers who want better fuel economy.

If you want a dependable family vehicle that prioritizes comfort, versatility, and efficiency over excitement, the Highlander fits that brief well. 36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2025 Toyota Highlander reliable?

The 2025 Toyota Highlander has a strong reputation for reliability, safety, and economy. That reputation is a big part of why it remains appealing to buyers who want a dependable family vehicle more than an engaging one.

Its long-running formula centers on being easy to live with, and the available hybrid setup adds to its appeal for shoppers who value efficiency alongside practicality. The overall package points to a used SUV that should be a sensible ownership choice if you want something familiar and low-drama.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the concept of the vehicle and more about finding one that has been maintained well and hasn’t been worn down by family use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Toyota Highlander?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the listing matches the seller’s claims. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with a long service history.

Focus on overall condition, interior wear, and evidence of regular maintenance, since those details matter most when you’re shopping a family SUV that’s meant to be easy to live with.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Toyota Highlander?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and deal activity to reward careful shopping.

• Deal availability: 36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,818 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.17% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 92.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $39,475, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Toyota Highlander's resale value?

The current average of $42,399 sits slightly below last year's $46,171.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled enough to give you more negotiating room today than a year ago. For a future seller, that also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle is documented.

If you buy carefully and keep the Highlander in strong shape, its reputation for reliability and practicality should help support demand later. But if you’re planning to resell soon, the recent price softening means you should be realistic about how much value you can recover.

Should I buy a 2025 Toyota Highlander or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.17% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the better primary choice if you want a comfort-focused, practical midsize SUV with strong usability and a healthy used-car market. If you’re especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2025 gives you a good balance of inventory, condition, and softened pricing.
