Used 2025 Toyota Highlander for Sale nearBarry, IL

How much does the 2025 Toyota Highlander cost?

Prices have softened 9.03% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,697 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Toyota Highlander a good car?

The 2025 Toyota Highlander stands out as a practical, comfort-focused midsize SUV rather than a flashy one. Toyota emphasizes upscale styling, a reinforced body for a more comfortable ride, and everyday versatility, which makes it appealing if you want a family-friendly SUV that is easy to live with.

It also offers both gas and hybrid powertrains, with front-wheel drive standard and all-wheel drive optional, so you can choose the setup that best fits your needs. The Highlander’s strengths are clear: comfort, practicality, styling, safety, and reliability. If you value a smooth ride, strong ownership reputation, and useful space over driving excitement, it fits that brief well.

34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Toyota Highlander reliable?

The 2025 Toyota Highlander is presented as a comfort-focused SUV with a strong reputation for reliability and safety. It is also described as a practical, family-friendly choice with everyday versatility, which supports its appeal for buyers who want something dependable and easy to own.

That said, it is not positioned as an exciting vehicle to drive, and its appeal is more about consistency than thrills. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about performance and more about making sure the specific example you choose has been maintained well and shows no signs of heavy wear.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Toyota Highlander?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the listing matches the seller’s claims about ownership and maintenance. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-mileage example or one with a price that looks unusually low. Focus on overall condition, service records, and signs of prior damage or neglect rather than assuming every clean-looking listing is equally well kept.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Toyota Highlander?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage but should still move quickly on the best-priced examples.

• Deal availability: 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,697 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.03% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 92.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $39,479, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Toyota Highlander's resale value?

The current average of $42,206 sits slightly below last year's $46,394.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can work in your favor if you are buying now. For a future seller, it also means resale value may be more sensitive to condition, mileage, and trim than it would be in a stronger pricing environment. If you keep the vehicle well maintained and buy at the right price, you give yourself a better chance of limiting depreciation pain later.

Should I buy a 2025 Toyota Highlander or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.03% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the better pick if you want a comfort-first, practical midsize SUV with strong inventory and a softer price trend. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth comparing for a lower entry cost, but the 2025 gives you a solid mix of availability, clean listings, and market momentum that makes it the primary year to target.
