You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the specific car’s records match its condition. Put inspection priority on battery-related operation, charging behavior, and any signs of uneven wear or repair quality. Focus on overall condition and maintenance history so you can separate a clean example from one that has simply been priced aggressively.

Should I buy a 2025 Subaru Solterra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

Consider the 2024 if:

• It brought meaningful updates that improved charging, comfort, and standard safety.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds a new look, NACS fast charging, and more available horsepower.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the right starting point if you want a current Solterra with decent deal availability and strong clean-inventory odds. If you’re price-sensitive, the 2024 is worth a look for its update package, while the 2026 makes sense if you want the newer improvements and can stretch your budget.
