You should still run a history report on any listing you are seriously considering and confirm that the car’s background matches the seller’s description. Focus on overall wear, maintenance evidence, and whether the car feels as practical and well kept as the listing suggests.

Should I buy a 2025 Subaru Impreza or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.27% compared with last year.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $22,745, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $24,038 average.
• It adds a stronger value-and-fun mix with a revived RS trim.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the better pick if you want the current-year market and a broad set of listings to choose from. If your priority is saving money, the 2024 is the smarter secondary path because it undercuts the current average while still offering strong everyday appeal.
