How much does the 2025 Subaru Crosstrek cost?

Prices have softened 5.22% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 6,751 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing prices and trims.

Is the 2025 Subaru Crosstrek a good car?

The 2025 Subaru Crosstrek stands out because it keeps the formula that made the nameplate successful: a simple, practical subcompact crossover with standard all-wheel drive, generous ground clearance, protective bodywork, and pedestal-style roof rails. It is based on the Subaru Impreza hatchback, and that car-like foundation helps explain why the Crosstrek feels like a straightforward daily driver rather than a complicated SUV.

That mix makes it appealing if you want a small crossover with real utility and winter confidence, not a flashy one. The tradeoff is that the base engine is described as underpowered, and the CVT can bring noise and droning. Even so, the Crosstrek’s blend of practicality, safety reputation, and all-weather capability remains its main draw.

36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2025 Subaru Crosstrek reliable?

The 2025 Subaru Crosstrek stands out because it keeps the formula that made the nameplate successful: a simple, practical subcompact crossover with standard all-wheel drive, generous ground clearance, protective bodywork, and pedestal-style roof rails. It is based on the Subaru Impreza hatchback, and that car-like foundation helps explain why the Crosstrek feels like a straightforward daily driver rather than a complicated SUV.

That simplicity is a plus for long-term ownership because fewer complicated systems usually mean fewer surprises to manage as the miles add up. For used buyers, the main risk is making sure the vehicle has been maintained well and hasn’t picked up hidden wear from hard use or poor weather exposure.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Subaru Crosstrek?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the car’s past matches the listing details. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one that has seen winter driving. Focus on overall condition, tire wear, brake wear, and signs of cosmetic or underbody damage.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Subaru Crosstrek?

This looks like a moderate market where selective buyers can still find value if they shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 6,751 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.22% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 91.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $28,510, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Subaru Crosstrek's resale value?

The current average of $28,510 sits slightly below last year's $30,079.

That price movement suggests the Crosstrek is holding value reasonably well, but not aggressively appreciating. If you buy now, you’re entering at a lower average price than last year’s market, which can help reduce your upfront cost. For a future seller, the current trend means resale should remain supported by steady demand, but you should not expect a strong price rebound unless market conditions tighten.

Should I buy a 2025 Subaru Crosstrek or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.22% compared with last year.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $26,126, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $28,510 average.
• It adds multiple engine options and a Wilderness trim for extra off-road capability.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2025 if you want the newer model-year pricing context and strong inventory quality, especially if you value the Crosstrek’s standard AWD and practical setup. If your priority is saving money, the 2024 is the better secondary path because it comes in noticeably cheaper while still delivering the Crosstrek’s core strengths.
