How much does the 2023 Subaru Crosstrek cost?

Prices have softened 5.84% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 5,139 listings available, which suggests you should have a healthy number of options to compare.

Is the 2023 Subaru Crosstrek a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Subaru Crosstrek earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its smooth handling, great mileage, and strong safety features, and many also like its comfort and style. The overview also frames it as a practical daily driver with useful cargo-friendly design and standard all-wheel drive, which fits well if you want a compact SUV that balances capability and efficiency. With 33.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still gives you room to find a solid example.

Is the 2023 Subaru Crosstrek reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also emphasizes that drivers find it dependable in everyday use, with praise for its smooth handling, comfort, and strong safety features. That kind of repeat-positive ownership experience matters when you are shopping used, because it often points to a vehicle that people feel confident keeping for the long haul. For you, the main ownership risk is less about the model’s core appeal and more about finding one that has been maintained well and not worn down by hard use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Subaru Crosstrek?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and confirm that the car’s condition matches the listing description. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the exterior, interior, tires, brakes, and any signs of prior repair work, especially if the vehicle has seen winter driving or frequent commuting. Since this model is valued for practicality and all-weather use, focus on how well the cabin, cargo area, and drivetrain have held up over time.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Subaru Crosstrek?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the best listings.

• Deal availability: 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 5,139 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.84% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $23,426, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Subaru Crosstrek's resale value?

The current average of $23,426 sits slightly below last year's $24,879.

That softer pricing can help you as a buyer now, but it also suggests the model is holding value in a measured, steady way rather than spiking. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle in good condition, you should have a reasonable path to future resale. Demand is also helped by the Crosstrek’s practical reputation and broad appeal among shoppers who want standard all-wheel drive in a compact package.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Subaru Crosstrek or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.84% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $26,169, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $23,426 average.
• It adds multiple engine choices and a Wilderness trim for more off-road capability.

The bottom line:
You should lean toward the 2023 if you want the better value and a strong mix of owner satisfaction, deal availability, and accident-free inventory. If you are willing to pay more for newer features and a more capable off-road option, the 2024 is the better upgrade path. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2023 is the smarter starting point.
