The market verdict is favorable, and that lines up with the fact that 41.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals. With 307 listings available, you have a meaningful pool to compare, and 89.9% of listings are accident-free, which gives you a strong starting point if you want a cleaner example.

For used-car shoppers, that combination points to a model worth considering if you want to balance selection and value. The best approach is to focus on condition, history, and pricing together rather than relying on any single listing.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Rivian R1S?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, even when a listing looks clean on paper. Focus on overall condition, signs of prior damage or repairs, and whether the vehicle has been maintained consistently. Because you’re shopping a used electric SUV, it also makes sense to pay close attention to how the vehicle presents in person and whether the asking price matches its condition.

This looks like a buyer-friendly moment, with a sizable share of listings priced competitively and enough inventory to give you options.

Should I buy a 2025 Rivian R1S or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 41.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

The bottom line: The 2025 is a strong primary choice if you want a favorable market with a healthy mix of value and cleaner inventory. If you’re especially price-sensitive, it’s still worth comparing nearby model years to see whether a different year gives you a lower entry price, but the 2025 already offers a solid balance of deal availability and selection.
