Used 2025 Nissan Altima for Sale nearColorado Springs, CO

How much does the 2025 Nissan Altima cost?

Prices have softened 10.74% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 8,772 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for used shoppers.

Is the 2025 Nissan Altima a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Nissan Altima earns a 5/5 user rating and a 5.8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 8/10.

The Altima’s appeal is rooted in its stylish design, comfortable cabin, available all-wheel drive, and easy-to-use technology. It also remains a straightforward traditional sedan for shoppers who still want that body style in a market crowded by crossovers.

The trade-offs are clear: performance is fairly pedestrian, the interior materials feel cheap, and the technology can feel outdated in lower trims. Even so, the Altima still makes sense if you want a comfortable, value-focused midsize sedan rather than a more modern or polished alternative.

The market shows 33.4% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Nissan Altima reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Altima’s reliability case is helped by its simple, familiar formula and its generally easygoing driving character. It is described as quiet, with decent acceleration, a CVT that rarely irritates, and real-world fuel economy that matches the official rating.

Nissan also includes three complimentary oil changes, which adds a small ownership perk. Still, the model’s aging design and mixed value equation mean you should pay close attention to maintenance history and overall condition if you plan to keep it long term.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Nissan Altima?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any candidate and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has higher mileage or visible wear. Focus on cabin condition, infotainment operation, and how the brakes and steering feel on a test drive, since those are the areas most likely to shape your day-to-day experience.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes S, SV, SV Special Edition, SR, and SL trim levels. The SV Special Edition adds black wheels, a rear spoiler, and comfort and technology upgrades, while the SR brings 19-inch wheels, sport suspension, brake-induced torque vectoring, and sport-bolstered front seats. The SL is the trim that unlocks the best safety and tech content.
• Powertrain: Every Altima uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with a CVT. Front-wheel-drive models make 188 horsepower and 180 pound-feet of torque, while AWD models drop slightly to 182 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque. The AWD system costs more up front and reduces fuel economy, so it is worth weighing carefully.
• Safety package: Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, automatic rear braking, pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. SL trim adds ProPilot Assist 1.0, a surround-view camera system, and active blind-spot monitoring.
• Infotainment: The standard setup uses an 8-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, and a six-speaker stereo. SV Special Edition and SL get a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, NissanConnect services, a navigation system, and a conversational voice assistant.
• Fuel efficiency: The AWD model should get 28 mpg in combined driving, while front-wheel-drive versions should get 31-32 mpg. The AWD system improves traction but costs more and uses more fuel.

Which 2025 Nissan Altima trim should I buy?

The 2025 Nissan Altima is offered in 5 trim levels: S, SV, SV Special Edition, SR, and SL.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, but the available information points to the higher trims as the more compelling choices if you want better tech or comfort.
• SV: This is the trim to start with if you want the best balance of value and everyday usability, especially if you want a more complete Altima without moving too far up the price ladder.
• SV Special Edition: This is the best-value trim. It adds black wheels, a rear spoiler, and comfort and technology upgrades, and the available information specifically calls it the Altima to get in 2025.
• SR: Choose this if you want the sportier look and chassis tuning, including 19-inch wheels, sport suspension, brake-induced torque vectoring, and sport-bolstered front seats.
• SL: This is the trim to buy if you want the most advanced safety and tech content, including ProPilot Assist 1.0, a surround-view camera system, active blind-spot monitoring, and the larger infotainment setup.

The SL trim level is also your ticket to the best safety features available for the Altima.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Nissan Altima?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 8,772 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.74% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 85.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $19,657, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Nissan Altima's resale value?

The current average of $20,875 sits slightly below last year's $23,388.

That decline suggests the Altima is currently in a softer resale position than it was a year ago. If you buy now, you may benefit from that lower entry point, but a future seller should expect resale to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim.

The model’s aging design and mixed value story may also keep resale pressure on it over time. On the other hand, strong owner satisfaction can help sustain demand in the used market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Nissan Altima safe?

The Altima earns five-star ratings from NHTSA, including a rare five-star rollover resistance rating. It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard on every Altima and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, automatic rear braking, pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. SL trim adds ProPilot Assist 1.0, which combines adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability and lane-centering assist, plus a surround-view camera system and active blind-spot monitoring.

There are also important caveats. The IIHS gives the Altima a Poor rating in updated side impact protection and front crash prevention evaluations, and it gets a Marginal result in an updated moderate offset frontal-impact test. That means you should weigh the standard safety equipment against those weaker crash-test results.

Should I buy a 2025 Nissan Altima or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.74% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Nissan adds a value-focused SV Special Edition Package to help keep the lineup relevant.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $19,829, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $20,875 average.
• It leans on value and familiarity, with available all-wheel drive and an upgraded touchscreen on higher trims.

The bottom line: If you want the newer model-year pricing trend and the added SV Special Edition content, the 2025 is the better path. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2024 is the more budget-friendly choice and still delivers the core Altima formula.
