Is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS a good car?

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS stands out as the roomiest vehicle in the Mercedes-Benz lineup, with three rows of seating for six or seven people and up to 94 cubic feet of cargo space. It is positioned as a midsize SUV that blends the comfort and space of the S-Class luxury sedan with some off-road capability, so you get a family-focused luxury hauler rather than a traditional full-size SUV.

What makes the 2025 model especially distinctive is the breadth of its equipment and the way Mercedes has continued to refine the GLS formula. For shoppers who want a large, upscale SUV with genuine passenger and cargo flexibility, it combines luxury-car polish with family-friendly practicality.

37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS reliable?

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS emphasizes comfort, premium materials, and easy-to-use technology, which supports its appeal as a refined luxury SUV. It also packages a broad set of features into a vehicle designed for everyday family use.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a large, highly equipped luxury SUV can be costly to maintain if you buy a neglected example.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the listing matches the seller’s claims. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks the third row, touch-sensing controls, and overall cabin condition, since those are the kinds of areas where wear and usability matter most in a luxury SUV.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,606 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.39% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 96.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $78,998, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS's resale value?

The current average of $79,176 sits slightly below last year's $89,351.

That drop suggests the market has moved in buyers’ favor, but it also means a future seller may face more price pressure than owners did a year ago. If you buy well now, you may have less room for appreciation later, so condition and purchase price matter a lot.

Should I buy a 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.39% compared with last year.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $71,077, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $79,176 average.
• It adds a refreshed look, more standard equipment, and updated infotainment.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It offers the brand’s most spacious three-row layout with more passenger room and cargo space than any other Mercedes model.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of current pricing, strong inventory, and a well-equipped luxury SUV, the 2025 is the primary path to consider. If your priority is saving money up front, the 2024 is the better secondary path, while the 2026 makes sense if you want the latest version and can justify paying more for it.
