Used 2025 MINI Countryman for Sale nearRoswell, NM

How much does the 2025 MINI Countryman cost?

Prices have softened 7.91% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 872 listings available, which suggests a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 MINI Countryman a good car?

The 2025 MINI Countryman earns a 6.8/10 expert rating, and it stands out more for personality than polish. It is a small crossover SUV with expressive styling, BMW-based engineering and technology, and enough rear-seat and cargo space to make it practical for everyday use.

The standout strength is Look and feel at 9/10.

The trade-offs are clear: dissatisfying steering and poor ride quality make it feel rough around the edges, and the technology can be unintuitive. That means you should view it as a characterful small SUV rather than a plush one.

The market reflects that appeal, with 36.6% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2025 MINI Countryman reliable?

The 2025 Countryman’s overview points to a well-equipped, modern small SUV, and the expert evaluation backs that up with a strong safety score and standard all-wheel drive across the main model series. It also comes with complimentary maintenance coverage for three years and 36,000 miles, which helps reduce early ownership costs.

The performance notes suggest the powertrain is lively but not especially refined, with clunky shifting and a stop/start setup that can feel awkward in daily use. That doesn’t automatically make it unreliable, but it does mean you should pay close attention to how the drivetrain behaves on a test drive.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the Countryman’s quirks and complexity may be more frustrating than costly if you want a simple, low-drama ownership experience.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 MINI Countryman?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and confirm the car’s service records before you buy. A pre-purchase inspection is especially important here because the Countryman’s technology and drivetrain behavior can be more complicated than they first appear. Focus on overall condition, how the transmission and brakes feel in real driving, and whether the infotainment and driver-assistance features work as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Cooper S is the popular choice, the John Cooper Works offers the most power and performance, and the SE is the electric model with an estimated 212 miles of range. The base setup is less lavish than higher-spec versions, so pay attention to the equipment differences if you want a more upscale feel.
• Powertrain: The Cooper S uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 241 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic and standard all-wheel drive. The powertrain is quick and fun, but refinement is not its strong suit.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, lane-centering assist, blind-spot monitoring with active steering input, automatic high beams, front and rear parking sensors, a left-turn warning system, Mini Assist eCall, and adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go. Assisted Driving and Assisted Driving Plus build on that setup, with the latter included in the optional Comfort Max Package.
• Infotainment: The Countryman uses a round 9.4-inch OLED touchscreen, and it includes wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, cloud-based navigation, connected services, and a head-up display. The system is feature-rich, but it can be frustrating to use.
• Fuel efficiency: The official estimate is 27 mpg in combined driving, and the test vehicle returned 24.5 mpg.

Which 2025 MINI Countryman trim should I buy?

The 2025 MINI Countryman is offered in 3 trim levels: Cooper S, John Cooper Works, and SE.

Here's the short version:

• Cooper S: This is the best-value choice if you want the core Countryman experience. It delivers the standard turbocharged powertrain, all-wheel drive, and the playful character that defines the model without pushing you into the highest price tier.
• John Cooper Works: Choose this if you want the most power and the most performance-focused version of the Countryman. It is the right pick if driving excitement matters more to you than comfort or value.
• SE: This is the electric version, and it makes sense if you want the Countryman’s style and personality with an EV powertrain. It also sits between the Cooper S and JCW in price.

The safety content notes that Assisted Driving Plus is part of the Active Driving Assistant Professional upgrade in the optional Comfort Max Package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 MINI Countryman?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully without expecting a fire-sale environment.

• Deal availability: 36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 872 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.91% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 93.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $34,068, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 MINI Countryman's resale value?

The current average of $34,165 sits slightly below last year's $37,100.

That price movement suggests the Countryman has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help you as a used buyer. If you buy at the right price and keep the car in good condition, you may avoid the steepest early drop in value.

For a future seller, the key takeaway is that this model’s resale story depends heavily on condition, equipment, and how well the market values its personality. A well-kept example with desirable features should be easier to move than one that feels rough or poorly equipped.

Is the 2025 MINI Countryman safe?

The 2025 Countryman earns a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, lane-centering assist, blind-spot monitoring with active steering input, automatic high beams, front and rear parking sensors, a left-turn warning system, Mini Assist eCall, and adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go. Assisted Driving pairs adaptive cruise control with lane-centering assist, while Assisted Driving Plus adds hands-free capability as part of the Active Driving Assistant Professional upgrade in the optional Comfort Max Package.

One caveat is that Assisted Driving Plus is described as unavailable in the United States in the infotainment system, even though the vehicle can still display activation prompts and behavior consistent with the feature.

Should I buy a 2025 MINI Countryman or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.91% compared with last year.
• The redesigned model brings more space, standard all-wheel drive across the main series, and a stronger technology and safety story.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $28,907, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $34,165 average.
• It offers a familiar formula with a stylish, fun-to-drive personality and an easier-to-use technology setup.

The bottom line: Buy the 2025 if you want the redesigned Countryman’s added space, updated tech, and stronger safety equipment. If your priority is saving money, the 2024 is the smarter value play, especially if you want MINI character without paying for the newest version.
