Used 2025 Lexus GX for Sale nearMontrose, CO

How much does the 2025 Lexus GX cost?

Prices have softened 7.31% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,069 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Lexus GX a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Lexus GX earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 10/10.

The GX comes across as a stylish midsize luxury SUV that looks the part and backs it up with strong capability. It is especially appealing if you want a premium SUV that can do more than just cruise on pavement, since the test-drive notes highlight strong versatility, easy-to-use tech, and serious off-road ability.

The trade-offs are worth keeping in mind: poor fuel economy and a high base price. Even so, the GX’s combination of capability, usability, and distinctive design makes it a strong fit if you value a luxury SUV with real all-around talent.

32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Lexus GX reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The GX is described as a well-rounded luxury SUV with strong capability, good everyday manners, and a user-friendly tech and safety setup. Its performance notes also point to a robust twin-turbo V6, full-time four-wheel drive, and a 10-speed automatic, which supports the impression of a durable, confidence-inspiring powertrain.

The cost-effectiveness notes also emphasize solid safety and driver-assistance technology, along with a package that is easy to live with day to day. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that poor fuel economy can make it more expensive to run over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Lexus GX?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the specific listing matches the equipment you want, especially because some capability-focused features are trim dependent. A pre-purchase inspection is smart, with extra attention on tires, brakes, suspension, and any signs of hard off-road use. Focus on overall condition and maintenance records, since this is a premium SUV that can be used very differently from one owner to the next.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The GX’s styling and cabin presentation are a major part of its appeal, and the off-road-focused trims add more rugged hardware than the lower trims. Base versions are more road-oriented, so you should confirm whether the listing includes the features you want before you buy.
• Powertrain: All trims use a twin-turbo 3.4-liter V6 with 349 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic and full-time four-wheel drive. The performance notes also point to strong passing power and a 0-60 mph time of 6.5 seconds.
• Safety package: Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 is standard, and it includes adaptive cruise control with Curve Speed Management, lane-centering assistance, road sign assist, lane-departure alert, automatic high-beams, rear cross-traffic alert, and blind-spot monitoring. The Overtrail+ also includes pedestrian detection.
• Infotainment: The GX uses a 12.3-inch gauge cluster and a 14-inch infotainment touchscreen. Wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth are standard, and the interface is described as quick and easy to use.
• Fuel efficiency: The GX is rated at 15 mpg city and 21 mpg highway, and the test-drive notes say real-world fuel economy can land lower depending on how you drive.

Which 2025 Lexus GX trim should I buy?

The 2025 Lexus GX is offered in 6 trim levels: Premium, Premium+, Overtrail, Overtrail+, Luxury, Luxury+.

Here's the short version:

• Premium: This is the entry point, and it gives you the GX’s core appeal without pushing the price as high as the upper trims. It’s the best-value starting point if you want the GX’s style, power, and standard tech without paying for extra luxury or trail hardware you may not need.
• Premium+: This trim adds more equipment while staying below the more specialized versions, making it a smart middle-ground choice if you want a better-equipped GX without jumping all the way to the off-road or luxury-focused trims.
• Overtrail: This is the trim to choose if you want the GX’s off-road character to be front and center. It’s the first step into the more trail-ready setup, so it suits you if capability matters more than luxury extras.
• Overtrail+: This is the most capable-feeling version in the test-drive notes and the one singled out for especially strong off-road performance. Choose it if you want the most rugged GX experience and are willing to pay for it.
• Luxury: This trim shifts the focus toward comfort rather than trail-readiness, so it makes sense if you want a more upscale daily driver and care less about off-road hardware.
• Luxury+: This is the most comfort-oriented choice, aimed at buyers who want the most premium GX experience and are willing to pay for it.

The safety package is broad and user-friendly across the lineup, with Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 standard.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Lexus GX?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop, but the best listings may move quickly.

• Deal availability: 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,069 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.31% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 95.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $84,532, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Lexus GX's resale value?

The current average of $84,532 sits slightly below last year's $91,199.

That price decline suggests the GX has become a little more buyer-friendly in the used market, which can help you if you’re shopping now. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim, especially because the GX’s pricing spans a fairly wide range.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Lexus GX safe?

The 2025 Lexus GX has not been rated by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety or National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 is standard, and it includes adaptive cruise control with Curve Speed Management, lane-centering assistance, road sign assist, lane-departure alert, automatic high-beams, rear cross-traffic alert, and blind-spot monitoring. The system is described as smooth and user-friendly, and the GX also includes a 360-degree camera system and rearview camera to help visibility.

One trim-level note to keep in mind is that the Overtrail+ tester included pedestrian detection as standard. The safety setup is strong overall, but the lack of crash-test ratings means you should lean more heavily on the GX’s standard driver-assistance equipment and your own inspection of the specific vehicle.

Should I buy a 2025 Lexus GX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.31% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 stands out for its stylish redesign, strong capability, and easy-to-use tech.

Consider the 2026 if:

• The next model year keeps the same formula while adding no major changes.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current pricing, inventory, and proven appeal, the 2025 is the better place to start. If you’re mainly shopping for the newest version of the same formula and don’t mind paying for it, the 2026 is the alternative to watch.
