Used 2025 Lexus GX for Sale nearAsheville, NC

How much does the 2025 Lexus GX cost?

Prices have softened 7.22% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 977 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Lexus GX a good car?

Yes — you’re looking at a 5/5 user-rated SUV with an expert rating of 8.83/10. The standout strength is Look and feel at 10/10.

The 2025 Lexus GX stands out as a stylish midsize luxury SUV that looks the part and backs it up with strong on-road manners and impressive off-road ability. It also brings a strong mix of standard tech, safety equipment, and overall versatility, which makes it appealing if you want a luxury SUV that feels well rounded.

The main trade-offs are a high base price and poor fuel economy. Off-road features are also not standard across the lineup, so the most trail-ready versions cost more.

Good and great deals account for 33.7% of listings, which suggests there are still some worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Lexus GX reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The GX’s appeal is reinforced by its strong overall versatility, user-friendly technology, and standard safety equipment. Its powertrain is described as hearty and quick enough for confident highway merging, and the cabin and controls are presented as easy to live with day to day.

The GX also offers a straightforward ownership experience in the sense that its standard equipment is broad and its interface is easy to acclimate to. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that higher running costs and fuel consumption can make ownership less forgiving over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Lexus GX?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and verify that the specific vehicle’s equipment matches the trim you want. A pre-purchase inspection is especially important if you’re considering a more trail-focused example, since off-road use can add wear that isn’t obvious at a glance.

Focus on condition, maintenance records, and whether the features you want are actually present on the trim you’re shopping.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Premium trim gives you the core GX experience, but off-road hardware is not standard across the lineup. The more trail-ready versions add the equipment that makes the GX especially distinctive, so you should confirm whether the truck you’re considering has the capability you expect.
• Powertrain: Every trim uses a twin-turbo 3.4-liter V6 with 349 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and full-time four-wheel drive. The GX is quick enough for easy highway merging, but fuel economy is a weak point.
• Safety package: Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 is standard and includes adaptive cruise control with Curve Speed Management, lane-centering assistance, road sign assist, lane-departure alert, automatic high-beams, rear cross-traffic alert, and blind-spot monitoring. A 360-degree camera system also helps visibility.
• Infotainment: The GX uses a 14-inch infotainment touchscreen, and wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth are standard. The interface is easy to learn and responds smoothly.
• Fuel efficiency: The GX is rated at 15 mpg city, 21 mpg highway, and 17 mpg combined.

Which 2025 Lexus GX trim should I buy?

The 2025 Lexus GX is offered in 6 trim levels: Premium, Premium+, Overtrail, Overtrail+, Luxury, and Luxury+.

Here's the short version:

• Premium: This is the entry point and the best-value starting place if you want the GX’s core strengths without paying for extra luxury or trail hardware you may not need.
• Premium+: This is the trim to consider if you want a more rounded daily driver with added equipment while staying below the more specialized versions.
• Overtrail: This is the better pick if you want the GX’s off-road character and are willing to pay for the hardware that makes it shine away from pavement.
• Overtrail+: This is the most capable trail-focused choice and the one to choose if off-road ability is your priority.
• Luxury: This trim shifts the GX more toward comfort and upscale use, so it suits you if you care more about refinement than trail readiness.
• Luxury+: This is the top comfort-oriented choice if you want the most upscale GX experience.

The safety package is standard across the lineup, which makes it easier to shop by use case rather than by basic protection equipment.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Lexus GX?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 977 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.22% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 96.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $85,786, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Lexus GX's resale value?

The current average of $85,786 sits slightly below last year's $92,457.

That price movement suggests the GX has softened enough to create a better entry point for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to be realistic about pricing. If you buy well now, you may have less downside risk than someone who paid closer to last year’s higher average.

The GX’s strong mix of desirability, capability, and broad appeal should help support demand over time. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Lexus GX safe?

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 is standard, and it includes adaptive cruise control with Curve Speed Management, lane-centering assistance, road sign assist, lane-departure alert, automatic high-beams, rear cross-traffic alert, and blind-spot monitoring. A 360-degree camera system and rearview camera also help with visibility, and the Overtrail+ adds pedestrian detection.

The GX has not been rated by IIHS or NHTSA, so there’s no crash-test result to cite here. Even so, the standard driver-assistance suite is broad and user-friendly, which gives you a strong baseline of active safety tech.

Should I buy a 2025 Lexus GX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.22% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The latest GX still looks great, drives well, and delivers impressive off-road ability.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds a clear luxury-off-roading identity with seating for up to seven and just over 9,000 pounds of towing.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of current pricing, strong inventory, and proven appeal, the 2025 is the smarter buy. If you need the broader 2026 positioning and can pay for it, that newer model is worth a look; otherwise, the 2025 gives you the core GX experience with better value.
