Used 2025 Lexus GX for Sale nearAberdeen Proving Ground, MD

How much does the 2025 Lexus GX cost?

Prices have softened 7.94% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 906 listings available, which suggests you have a workable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Lexus GX a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Lexus GX earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.83/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 10/10.

The GX comes across as a stylish midsize luxury SUV that looks the part and backs it up with strong capability. It also brings great standard tech, safety equipment, looks, and overall versatility, which makes it a compelling fit if you want a luxury SUV that feels polished and capable.

The trade-offs are clear: the base price is high, fuel economy is poor, and the most rugged off-road equipment is not standard. Even so, the easy-to-use tech and strong on-road and off-road ability help it stand out in a crowded luxury SUV field.

34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Lexus GX reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The GX’s overall package points to solid day-to-day dependability: it has a strong powertrain, user-friendly controls, and a well-rounded cabin that should age well for used buyers who value durability and comfort. Its performance notes also suggest a robust setup, with a twin-turbo V6, full-time four-wheel drive, and a 10-speed automatic transmission.

The cost-effectiveness notes also point to a useful ownership perk: the lowest-tier trim delivers a lot of capability and equipment for the money, which can help reduce the urge to overbuy. For long-term ownership, the main risk is that fuel costs and higher trim complexity can make the GX more expensive to live with than some shoppers expect.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Lexus GX?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 97% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the specific truck you’re considering has a clean service record. A pre-purchase inspection is worth prioritizing, especially if the GX has seen off-road use or has been fitted with accessories. Focus on overall condition, tire wear, underbody wear, and whether the equipment level matches how you plan to use it.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Premium trim gives you strong luxury-SUV fundamentals, but the off-road-focused hardware is not standard, so you should check whether the truck has the equipment you want rather than assuming it does.
• Powertrain: Every trim uses a twin-turbo 3.4-liter V6 with 349 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and full-time four-wheel drive.
• Safety package: Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 includes adaptive cruise control with Curve Speed Management, lane-centering assistance, road sign assist, lane-departure alert, automatic high-beams, rear cross-traffic alert, and blind-spot monitoring.
• Infotainment: The GX uses a 14-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 12.3-inch gauge cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth, plus standard over-the-air capability.
• Fuel efficiency: The GX is rated at 15 mpg city, 21 mpg highway, and 17 mpg combined.

Which 2025 Lexus GX trim should I buy?

The 2025 Lexus GX is offered in 6 trim levels: Premium, Premium+, Overtrail, Overtrail+, Luxury, and Luxury+.

Here's the short version:

• Premium: This is the entry point and the best-value choice if you want the GX’s core strengths without paying for the more specialized equipment higher up the range. It gives you the athletic powertrain, strong interior space, and the easy-to-use tech that make the GX appealing in the first place.
• Premium+: This trim adds more comfort and convenience while staying closer to the lower end of the lineup, making it a sensible step up if you want a little more equipment without jumping into the pricier luxury-focused models.
• Overtrail: This is the one to choose if you want the GX’s trail-ready personality. It brings the off-road focus that the base trim lacks, and it’s the better fit if you actually plan to use the SUV’s rugged capability.
• Overtrail+: This is the most capable off-road version and the right pick if you want the fullest expression of the GX’s adventure hardware. It’s the trim that best matches the model’s reputation for serious off-road ability.
• Luxury: Choose this if your priority is comfort over trail use. It shifts the GX toward a more upscale, road-focused experience.
• Luxury+: This is the most comfort-oriented choice in the lineup, aimed at buyers who want the most premium feel and are willing to pay for it.

The safety package is standard across the lineup, which makes it easier to shop by comfort, capability, and price rather than by basic safety equipment.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Lexus GX?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 906 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.94% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 97.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $86,230, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Lexus GX's resale value?

The current average of $86,230 sits slightly below last year's $93,665.

That price movement suggests the GX has softened enough to create a better entry point for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to be realistic about pricing if they want to move quickly. The current market still supports the GX’s appeal, especially because it combines luxury, capability, and strong equipment content.

If demand stays steady, well-kept examples should remain attractive to shoppers who want a premium SUV with real off-road ability. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Lexus GX safe?

The 2025 Lexus GX has not been rated by IIHS or NHTSA.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 is the standard driver-assistance suite, and it includes adaptive cruise control with Curve Speed Management, lane-centering assistance, road sign assist, lane-departure alert, automatic high-beams, rear cross-traffic alert, and blind-spot monitoring. A 360-degree camera system and rearview camera also help visibility, and the Overtrail+ adds trail-viewing cameras.

The safety setup is broad and user-friendly, which fits the GX’s upscale, family-friendly mission. One caveat is that the model has no crash-test ratings yet, so you’re relying on its standard equipment and overall engineering rather than published test results.

Should I buy a 2025 Lexus GX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 97% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.94% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 keeps the latest-generation GX’s strong looks, easy-to-use tech, and serious off-road ability.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It carries over unchanged while keeping the same six-trim lineup and standard 4WD.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of price relief, strong equipment, and proven capability, the 2025 is the smarter buy. If you’re shopping purely for the newest available version and don’t mind paying more for essentially the same formula, the 2026 is the cleaner alternative. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2025’s softer pricing makes it the more compelling path.
