How much does the 2025 Land Rover Range Rover Sport cost?

Prices have softened 10.31% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

Is the 2025 Land Rover Range Rover Sport a good car?

The 2025 Land Rover Range Rover Sport earns an expert rating of 7.00/10 and is positioned as a smaller, sportier alternative to the traditional Range Rover, with a focus on traditional Land Rover style and luxury in a more manageable package. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

Its strengths are clear: stylish design, great handling, and multiple powertrain options. The trade-offs are just as clear, though, with poor value for money and unintuitive technology standing out as the main drawbacks.

If you want a luxury SUV that blends presence with more engaging on-road dynamics, this one fits that brief well. The market also shows 35.4% of listings as good or great deals, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Land Rover Range Rover Sport reliable?

The 2025 Land Rover Range Rover Sport is presented as a luxury SUV with strong capability and a premium feel, but it also carries the usual used-Land Rover caution around ownership costs and complexity. Its performance setup includes multiple powertrain options, standard four-wheel drive, and a chassis tuned for both comfort and agility.

The model’s powertrain coverage includes mild-hybrid assistance on some engines, and the plug-in hybrid versions add electric driving range before switching to hybrid operation. Land Rover also includes a four-year/50,000-mile new-vehicle warranty and complimentary roadside assistance over the same period.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a sophisticated luxury SUV like this can be expensive to own if maintenance or repairs stack up.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Land Rover Range Rover Sport?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-spec or heavily optioned example. Focus on overall condition, how the technology operates, and whether the vehicle’s luxury features and driver-assistance systems work as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes SE, Dynamic SE, Autobiography, and SV Edition Two trim levels. The base SE gets the core Range Rover Sport look and equipment, while the Dynamic SE adds a higher-output engine option and can be paired with a Stealth appearance package. The Autobiography brings the plug-in hybrid and can also be equipped with the V8, while the SV Edition Two is the highest-performance model with unique exterior and interior details.
• Powertrain: You can choose from a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six, a higher-output version of that engine, plug-in hybrid powertrains, and a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8. The lineup emphasizes performance, and all models use an eight-speed automatic transmission with standard four-wheel drive.
• Safety package: Standard driver-assistance features include automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, traffic sign recognition, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and a driver attention monitor. The base SE already includes this suite, so you do not need to move up a trim for core safety tech.
• Infotainment: The cabin uses a 13.7-inch digital instrument cluster and a 13.1-inch touchscreen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with Amazon Alexa integration. The minimalist layout looks clean, but it relies heavily on the touchscreen for many functions.
• Fuel efficiency: The base six-cylinder powertrain is EPA-rated at 22 mpg combined, with 20 mpg city and 25 mpg highway. Plug-in hybrids offer 53 miles of electric range and 21 mpg combined after that.

Which 2025 Land Rover Range Rover Sport trim should I buy?

The 2025 Land Rover Range Rover Sport is offered in 4 trim levels: SE, Dynamic SE, Autobiography, and SV Edition Two.

Here's the short version:

• SE: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the core Range Rover Sport experience with the standard luxury look, the base turbocharged inline-six, and the full driver-assistance suite. It makes the most sense if you want the model’s style and capability without chasing expensive extras.
• Dynamic SE: This trim is the best-value choice if you want more performance flexibility, since it adds a higher-output engine option and can be paired with the Stealth appearance package. It suits you if you care about the sportier side of the Range Rover Sport more than the badge hierarchy.
• Autobiography: This is the trim to target if you want the plug-in hybrid powertrain or the available V8, plus the added prestige of the upper luxury tier. It’s the right fit if you want stronger performance and more upscale positioning.
• SV Edition Two: This is the top-performance model, with the most extreme output, unique carbon-fiber details, and the most dramatic hardware. It’s for you if you want the fastest, most exclusive Range Rover Sport and are willing to pay for it.

The standard safety package is included from the base SE trim level on up.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Land Rover Range Rover Sport?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you have room to shop, but the best listings can still move quickly.

• Deal availability: 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,176 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.31% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 94.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $81,864, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Land Rover Range Rover Sport's resale value?

The current average of $81,864 sits slightly below last year's $91,270.

That price movement suggests the market has softened, which can help you buy more selectively today. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim, since the model’s pricing has already moved down from where it was a year ago.

If you keep the vehicle in strong condition and choose a desirable trim, you should be in a better position when it’s time to sell. But if the market stays soft, you may need to price competitively to attract buyers.

Is the 2025 Land Rover Range Rover Sport safe?

The Range Rover Sport’s standard driver-assist features cover the bases, with automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, traffic sign recognition, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and a driver attention monitor all included from the base SE trim level on up.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard 360-degree camera system helps with parking and visibility, and the available digital rearview mirror can further reduce blind spots. The main caveat is that the parking sensors can be overly sensitive, so you may notice more alerts than you’d like in tight spaces.

Should I buy a 2025 Land Rover Range Rover Sport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.31% compared with last year.
• It keeps the third-generation formula with minimal changes, which makes it a straightforward choice if you want the current design and equipment.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It pushes harder into style, performance, and exclusivity.

The bottom line: If you want the current model-year Range Rover Sport with softer pricing and plenty of inventory to compare, the 2025 is the practical pick. If you’re willing to pay more for a more extreme and exclusive version, the 2026 is the one to watch.
