How much does the 2025 Land Rover Range Rover Sport cost?

Is the 2025 Land Rover Range Rover Sport a good car?

The 2025 Land Rover Range Rover Sport earns an expert rating of 7/10. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

It blends traditional Land Rover luxury with sportier on-road driving dynamics, and it stands out for its stylish design and multiple powertrain options. The trade-offs are clear: it is a poor value for the money, and its technology can be unintuitive.

For you, that means the Range Rover Sport makes the most sense if you care more about presence, handling, and upscale character than maximizing equipment per dollar. There are 39.2% good or great deals in the market, which helps offset some of the pricing sting.

Is the 2025 Land Rover Range Rover Sport reliable?

The 2025 Land Rover Range Rover Sport is presented as a refined luxury SUV with broad capability, but its used-car appeal depends heavily on how you weigh ownership costs against its strengths. Its performance focus and upscale positioning are part of the draw, while the expert review also points to value concerns and technology that can be frustrating to use.

The base six-cylinder setup is rated at 22 mpg combined, and Land Rover includes a four-year/50,000-mile new-vehicle warranty plus complimentary roadside assistance over the same period. That helps with early ownership peace of mind, but long-term used-buyer risk still comes down to whether you are comfortable with a premium SUV that can be expensive to own and maintain.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Land Rover Range Rover Sport?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a luxury SUV with multiple powertrain and equipment combinations. Focus on overall condition, how the technology operates, and whether the vehicle’s features match the trim you think you are buying.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes SE, Dynamic SE, Autobiography, and SV Edition Two. Base models have 21-inch wheels, while the Dynamic SE can be paired with a Stealth appearance package that adds Carpathian metallic-gray paint, gloss black exterior trim, black 23-inch wheels, and brake calipers. The SV Edition Two adds unique exterior and interior touches, including carbon-fiber elements and sport seats with illuminated details.
• Powertrain: You get multiple powertrain options, all with an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard four-wheel drive. The SE uses a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six with 355 horsepower, while higher trims add more powerful versions of that engine, plug-in hybrid output, and a BMW-sourced twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8.
• Safety package: The standard driver-assistance suite includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, traffic sign recognition, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and a driver attention monitor. The base SE already gets these features, so you do not need to move up a trim for core safety tech.
• Infotainment: You get a 13.7-inch digital instrument cluster and a 13.1-inch touchscreen, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and Amazon Alexa integration. The minimalist layout looks clean, but many functions are handled through the touchscreen.
• Fuel efficiency: The base six-cylinder powertrain is EPA-rated at 22 mpg combined (20 mpg city, 25 mpg highway). Plug-in hybrids offer 53 miles of electric range and 21 mpg combined after that.

Which 2025 Land Rover Range Rover Sport trim should I buy?

The 2025 Land Rover Range Rover Sport is offered in 4 trim levels: SE, Dynamic SE, Autobiography, and SV Edition Two.

Here's the short version:

• SE: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the core Range Rover Sport experience, including the standard safety suite, the 13.7-inch driver display, the 13.1-inch touchscreen, and the base 355-horsepower inline-six. If you want the most accessible way into the lineup, this is the trim to start with.
• Dynamic SE: This trim adds more power than the base model and can be paired with the Stealth appearance package, which gives the SUV a darker, more distinctive look. It is the trim that best balances style and equipment if you want more presence without jumping to the highest-priced versions.
• Autobiography: This is the better choice if you want the richer powertrain mix, including the plug-in hybrid and available V8, plus the added off-road hardware of a two-speed transfer case with low range. It is the most compelling upgrade if you want more capability and flexibility.
• SV Edition Two: This is the performance flagship, with the most powerful engine, carbon-fiber hardware, and the most dramatic interior and exterior presentation. It suits you if you want the most exclusive and extreme version, not the best value.

The standard safety package is already included from the SE trim level on up.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Land Rover Range Rover Sport?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully without expecting a fire sale.

• Deal availability: 39.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,206 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.61% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 94.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $82,177, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Land Rover Range Rover Sport's resale value?

The current average of $82,351 sits slightly below last year's $92,124.

That drop suggests the used market has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help you as a buyer today. For a future seller, though, it means you should expect resale value to remain sensitive to mileage, condition, and trim choice rather than assuming the badge alone will protect pricing.

Because the model is still relatively expensive in the used market, the trims and options you choose matter a lot when it comes time to sell. Higher-spec versions may be more desirable to some shoppers, but they also carry more risk if the market stays value-conscious.

Is the 2025 Land Rover Range Rover Sport safe?

The Range Rover Sport’s standard driver-assist features cover the bases, with automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, traffic sign recognition, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and a driver attention monitor all included from the base SE trim level on up.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard 360-degree camera system helps with parking and visibility, and the digital rearview mirror on the test vehicle adds another layer of convenience. The main caveat is that the standard parking sensors can be overly sensitive, so you may find the system a little eager in tight spaces.

Should I buy a 2025 Land Rover Range Rover Sport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 39.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.61% compared with last year.
• This year keeps the Range Rover Sport’s stylish design, strong handling, and broad powertrain lineup while changing very little.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It pushes farther into prestige, performance, and customization.

The bottom line: If you want the safer value play, the 2025 is the better target because pricing has eased and inventory is healthy. If you are shopping for the newest expression of the formula and are willing to pay more for added drama, the 2026 is the path to consider.
